Hi all guess its that time of the year again.
Have had a little play with gold and basically gone with a set up i think I like . Ended up with two teams
Team A
Yeo, laird, hibbered, birchall, oshea, Richard's,   Morgan, goddard,
Danger, dusty, fyfe, coniglio, cripps, ahern, freeman, garlett, t,Kelly , Barry, Holman's
Gawn, nick, English
Heaney, greene, gray, dahlhaus,Bennell, w. Rioli, venables,Ryan,
$29.600 left
14 keepers , huge risk running cripps and conglio, birchall hopefully they are good to go for the year ,

Team b
Yeo.laird,hibbered,birchall, oshea, Richard's, Morgan, goddard
Danger, dusty, fyfe, Mitchell, Kelly, ahern, freeman, garlett , t,Kelly. Barry, Holman's
Gawn , nic nak, English
Heaney, gray, dahlhaus, Bennell, j. Higgins , venables, Ryan, w,Rioli
$134.500 left
13 keepers

Rookies will change, dahlhaus can be billings,
Basically its down to which  3 will score more coniglio, cripps greene vs Mitchell, Kelly, rookie
Thanks in advance for any advice

Like team b because it's mids are a lot stronger

+1

13 keepers that are going to be top 1o in their positions is much better than 14 guys who will be top 10-15.

Don't like Gray as he could be a deep forward and not score well as well as having an early bye. Wait and see for me.

Kelly, Mitchell and roookie may not score more at first but in saying that in the long run will be much better for your side as you have 2 of the top 5-6 mids from the start and have a rookie to make good money... assuming you pick the right one ;)

Agree with comments here although you say 14 keepers think the 13 keepers you have chosen in Team B will outscore the 14 Keepers of Team A. If you get lucky with selections and we know rookies are a lottery then you can upgrade to 4 the 14 keepers early. Think Kelly and Mitchell will definitely outscore Cripps and Coniglio for what it is worth. Greene is a risk of being suspended as well which is another drawback.
Starting with 13 definite Top 10 then you need to find another 9 keepers  and if you trade sensibly and assuming 1 down and one up for your 2 trades that makes 18 trades leaving you 12 for injuries and loss of form.

Good point about being top 10 compare to top 15

Thanks ringo
Greene definitely a risk but the kid can score.  Have to see if his mind set has improved
I like the  sound of 12 trades with a finished team. Lol

Unless the JLT series sees Dollshouse getting back to his old self I don’t like him as a pick for 2018, had a dirty year in 2017

Totally agree on dollhouses 2017 .
Hopefully he can get back and if he does will be in top 8 fwds. Big watch on him during pre season .

Wouldn't pick Greene as he'll miss games no doubt and there are more reliable choices there (Franklin, Billings (?)). I think its best to start the year with less than 100k, as that'll mean you've maximised the side to be as good as it can for Rd.1. Of course this all depends on rookie and mid-pricer situations, so I think we'll have to wait until the JLT to know for sure.

Could easily get back to his best in 2018. 92, 104, 95, 91 were his averages over the last 4 years, so you would still expect him to go 90+. My F3 at this stage, but that could change.

Peter

I still think you need Billings over Dahlhous, but the decision between A and B will come down to JLT form
