Could be a great Danger 2.0 for those who can't afford Dangerfield. Out of Dangerfield, Ablett and Jelwood, Jelwood will be the one to spend the most time in the midfield. If you take out the game he had to leave early in, he had a respectable 108 point average. Has always played well with others as we saw when Dangerfield came into the team and his average skyrocketed. Has played with Ablett before and scored fairly decently with him.

Tasty PoD indeed  ;)

I would love to take Jelwood over a lot of other mids but his bye just makes it to hard

Peter

Agree, bye is difficult, but has 250th in R1 and will always get points from pressure. Also Geelong have great second half of season at home - definite upgrade target after his bye

Hedging your bets there MS. Don't blame you... how I see it too. Not sure which GAJ version we'll see in 2018.

GAJ > Danger > Selwood > Crameri > Duncan

I've got GAJ over Jelwood at the moment, and for a similar price I'd probably prefer Parker/Hanners. But he's proven and still a solid pick

Although GAJ will go down as one of the greatest players of all time sadly he is 63 years of age and is only good for a 105-110 average if he manages to play 20 or so games in my opinion.

Danger 125
Jelwood 108
GAJ 106
Duncan 104
Selwood/Tuohy/Menegola 90

People expecting so much from Gazza. Been a pleasure to own for a lot of years but he's done.
Pushing 34 years old. Last 4 years has played 15, 6, 14, 14 games. Will play less mid now than he has for years. Will be rested at any chance they get. At best you get 18 games out of him and he averages 115. I'll take the 110 from Crouch/Merrett/Neale and have them play every week and not have to worry

Interesting that we all view them slightly differently, I'd have it like this:

Danger 127
GAJ 110
Duncan 108
Selwood 100
Menegola 96
Touhy/SSelwood 90

Why would you have Selwood so low? He's the only one of them that will play permanent mid.

That would make it his worst average since his first 2 seasons of Afl

Just going by his last 3 years he has been a touch off where he used to be (104.8, 111.5, 102.2), just think there'll be less points to go around and would back Duncan, GAJ and Danger to all average higher. Can't see 4 105+ in the same team.
