No way Dunks is before Jelly  ;)
109.8 average last year versus 102.2. Even with Jelwood's injury game, right now you'd have to say he is.

Hedging your bets there MS. Don't blame you... how I see it too. Not sure which GAJ version we'll see in 2018.
Although GAJ will go down as one of the greatest players of all time sadly he is 63 years of age and is only good for a 105-110 average if he manages to play 20 or so games in my opinion.

Danger 125
Jelwood 108
GAJ 106
Duncan 104
Selwood/Tuohy/Menegola 90
Interesting that we all view them slightly differently, I'd have it like this:

Danger 127
GAJ 110
Duncan 108
Selwood 100
Menegola 96
Touhy/SSelwood 90

Why would you have Selwood so low? He's the only one of them that will play permanent mid.

That would make it his worst average since his first 2 seasons of Afl
Just going by his last 3 years he has been a touch off where he used to be (104.8, 111.5, 102.2), just think there'll be less points to go around and would back Duncan, GAJ and Danger to all average higher. Can't see 4 105+ in the same team.

Last year was only so low because of concussion in round 14 though where he scored a 3. If you take that out he averaged 108

Trindacut

Bye rounds probably the biggest concern there. Want to spread the bye love around in the midfield.

Touhy/SSelwood 90 who cares
so danger duncan and menegola are keepers whereas the others are quick starters and trade down or mid year tradeins.

Had Jelwood every year, but just a bit worried now as the other talent grows. He'll be solid as always, but don't see consistent super premo scores

Exactly how I see it too and it's compounded by his bye and who it's shared with. Post byes he may be a great option but until then I'll just watching.

SL, I think you are rating Duncan a bit too high there mate. Selwood and Danger are both better players and GAJ is GAJ so he will score well enough when he plays. Duncan will still score 100-105 which is by no means a bad score but there are better options.

That could be fair, but he did average 110 last year ;)

Duncan is a seriously good player, he had been threatening to do what he did last year for a while so it was no fluke. Despite the AA farce he was better than Jelwood last year. He also plays predominately on the wing, not an inside bull like Joel so why does he have to be the one that drops due to circumstances?

I would have thought an inside mid coming in would affect the already existing inside mid, not the outside runner. Duncan will get absolutely no attention and will be able to do as he pleases much like Sidebottom due to sheer work rate.

Selwood's age is a concern for me too, it's why I didn't start him last year. He's more and more likely every year to drop off a shelf like Judd did, and with bye considerations, and Martin and Danger, he just doesn't fit.

Peter

Have a look at the slightly different role Selwood has played with Danger coming in, his brother coming in, now GAJ, coming in. Won’t score any higher in 2018 imo

Glad to see I'm not the only one who sees Duncan as an elite mid ;)

Maybe I need to watch more Geelong games haha :P

strikeforce

Selwood priced at $535 which seems a steal. Just wondering why he hasnt been mentioned much.

Had solid 120 scores and a big 130 and a couple 80s?

_wato

Didn’t realise he was this cheap. Would be a great alternative to Neale.

You know you’ll get a 110 avg out of him just have to hope no injuries or concussions.
Good thing about Jelwood is that he’ll play the most midfield time out of the lot at Geelong but he is also the easiest to chuck a player on and watch him score 40.
I will definitely consider.
