I am getting him in this week he's just reeled off 3 x 120+ scores after a couple of lower scores to start the year and looking at those games he is spending time up fwd and the wing , enough to convince me ... thoughts ?

See what happens when Ablett returns

Bit of talk about how they look better with Gaz out and although he gets lots of possies that most are dinky little touches that are not that damaging any more , some like Wayne Carey says it's for Gaz to realize he is not player he used to be and needs to be kept in the FWD 50 ?

The 2nd half of the Hawthorn game and the first 3 quarters of the Eagles game? Ablett clearly was their best player.

They need Ablett in the mids so Danger can spend more time forward. Danger better up forward than Ablett.

Don't think Ablett coming back will affect Menegola much TBH.

Gaz's problem when he was out there for Geelong this year was that he was playing how he played at GC: Lots of cheap possessions, as well as still thinking he's 25.

But he appears to be stubborn, and doesn't want to play forward, which forces Menegola/Danger to.

For such a great of the game, he seems to have a poor attitude these last couple of years.

Nor do I but the Cats have looked much better in the last 2 games and Danger is the best mid going around but back to Menegola he is looking like the player his price suggested at the start of the season

1.) If they "look better" without GAJ it's because they played better, nothing to do with him
2.) GAJ is most damaging as a mid. He might be getting on but is still better than most.
3.)Danger is better than GAJ (and anyone else) as a fwd so he'll play more fwd as he has already.
4.) Wayne Carey is a flog.
5.) Menegolas good scores have come with GAJ out. This resembles last year when  his scores dropped when a few of  Selwood,Danger,Duncan etc. were out.
Not saying he's a bad pick altogether, but I'd rather Gray,McLean,Heeney,Buddy when fit and feel he's a risk when all of Selwood/s,Kelly,Duncan,GAJ,Danger are playing
Just my 2 cents..

Yeah, that's certainly worth thinking about sammy. Gives us all more time to see how things are in a couple of months too.

Jumping on Menegola. Between him and McLean and would rather the POD (5% ownership)

Three 120's in a row is very satisfying and has scored 113 v Sydney last year, and 130 and 143 in the two games against Giants last year (next two fixtures to come). Has only 5 sub 80 games to his career so far.

Not really worried about GAJ impact, averaged 86 with him in including the one big shocker and the 128 so he can still score.
