DEF: Laird, Lloyd, Savage, Doedee, Murray, Finlayson (Murphy, Keefe)
MID: Mitchell, Bont, Fyfe, Beams, Treloar, Coniglio, Liberatore, Barry (Kelly, Worpel, Dawson)
RUC: Goldstein, Gawn (Flynn)
FWD: Franklin, Billings, Sicily, Rioli, Christensen, Fritsch (Ryan, Garlett)

Loaded mids was what I wanted from the start.. no Danger but jumping on cheap proven prem scorers.

Don't mind the idea I'm trying something similar myself. I guess you'd trade the worst performing of Conigs/Libba to Danger/Dusty eventually as they will be must haves and u only have one spot left.
Personally I would choose 1 of Conigs/Libbs other to rookie and upgrade Treloar to Danger. Would leave cash left over to strengthen other lines, even more if u get Dusty instead.Unless Treloar has learnt how to kick efficiently I just can't pick him. I'd rather Pendles or Parker. Like Beams and Bont tho.
Nice to see Buddy in a team could pay off if he smashes it early, I'm wary of Swans early draw however.

Very similar to my team, I see you've gone with the Keeffe donut (in all likelihood).

Looking good wato but all 3 of your defenders share the same bye so might be worth while switching out at least one of them

Ringo

Agree with RD so maybe one of your defenders to Hibberd or Hurley to minimise Rd 14 carnage.

Sandi is a gutsy pick with his turf toe but if you can get 10 games out of him could be minimal upgrade to Ryder after his bye.

Overall good team to sit,

Confidence levels on lobb being there round 1?

Even if he is he's had virtually no pre-season so doesn't make sense to start with him.

Different circumstances as he's been managed to get him through a full season of rucking. Happy to roll the dice because rucks are like gold in the forward line, high ceiling  & low floor. If he stumbles or misses a week then so be it. At his starting price he's worth it. Kind of tempted to just find the extra dough & play him at F5, not sold on Christensen.

He's been managed due to a lingering groin issue. If he had have played JLT then I would certainly be considering him but no JLT matches is a red flag for mine.

That I can understand and is something that will keep his ownership down, currently 3%. Played NEAFL whilst Dawson played JLT, very similar pathway to Naitanui. Form was good kicking 3 goals and doing some ruck work. Looks fit from the footage I saw.

Good discussion here but let's not derail Wato's team thread. Let's take it to the 'value forwards' thread.

#74
DEF: Laird, Lloyd, Savage, Doedee, Murray, Finlayson (Naughton, Keefe)
MID: Dangerfield, Mitchell, Bontempelli, Fyfe, Beams, Coniglio, Liberatore, Brayshaw (Banfield, Kelly, Holman)
RUC: Gawn, Sandilands (Olango)
FWD: Billings, Smith, Lobb, Rioli, Fogarty, Fritsch (Ryan, Garlett)

Slightly different to last team. Danger is in because I fully expect him to play and at 24% ownership currently post his injury scare (assuming a lot of sides made early and not touched since still have him in) is ridiculously low numbers for a man of his quality.

Meant I had to shove Sicily but Rioli should put up similiar numbers and is apparently training the house down. Fogarty $110k cheaper than Bundy who just screams to me as a guy who will average 65 and be the slowest burn (considering his $268k price tag no thanks) -  Especially playing half forward in the Brisbane line up.

The forward line is also absolute dogs balls for premiums bar Buddy hence why I don't care about my F2-4 picks.

RE three defenders in Rd 14 bye - should be fine as I'm gonna be after 3 of Hurley/Hibberd/Yeo/Simmo/Howe which would balance my bye situation anyway.
