I like everything about this team accept for having Ablett over Danger. Although I would never start without Danger I can see why you are but surely Martin or Merrett are more viable choices over Gaz? Yes he could average 140 over the first few rounds but he will miss games whether it be through injury or through being rested.

I want to be picking premiums that I see playing 20+ games comfortably and Gaz is not that.

It's the same scenario as Rocky last year, IF you stick to a plan of trading him straight away when injured
and he starts the year on fire he is the kind of player that could hurt others who don't have him and get you that jump start,
i can see value in the strategy.
That's fair enough. Worst case scenario is he plays 3 games gets rested plays 3 games gets rested etc which means you may be inclined to hold him even though he might only play 16-18 games. However, that scenario is very unlikely.

Nah if he gets rested within the first 5-6 games trade him.

Can't see a Titch/Kelly/Martin getting rested ::)

True but that's the problem, you're playing it safe like many others, their will be some people who luck out with 1 or 2 players
that are not popular and who go nuts early.

Peter

Ageee, don’t think you can bench premiums early in the season

That's true, though I don't mind taking risks with prems where it's warranted. Wouldn't personally start a guy at 631k who hasn't played a full season in 6ish years, but being who he is I can see why people would want to.

DEF: Laird, Howe, Shaw, Byrne, Doedee, Cumming (Murray, Keefe)
MID: Mitchell, Ablett, Bont, Fyfe, Neale, Beams, Rischitelli, LDU (Kelly, Worpel, Holman)
RUC: Gawn, Jacobs (Cameron)
FWD: Billings, Barlow, Lobb, Deledio, Ahern, Venables (Ryan, Garlett)

First team post ZWilliams' injury and no NN. Heater is in, and Birchall injury forces Byrne into the team.

Warming on Ablett and decided to chuck Neale into my team as my massive POD. Think he can go 113+ and work out to be a top pick. I didn't realise Lids was so cheap and if he gets the half back role he is an absolute lock. Lobb comes in and so does Jezza Howe.

Ringo

Not sure whether you are aware Howe has a calf complaint and been on modified training program,

What are your intentions with Riska and Barlow for Rd 10 bye.

Rd 14 could be an issue as well with 7 out. That is the problem with both Fyfe and Neale with Ablett.

Money Shot

I really like this side as although the midfield is packed it doesn't weaken your otherlines.

If you can find the money I would upgrade Byrne too a Birchall (assuming he is fit), Seedsman or Brayshaw as Byrne is not a really good supercoach scorer as he isn't a high posession getter and will probably score just as much as a rookie.

Midfield is super strong, love it. Riska to Brodie is something I would consider as I think they could score similarly this season.

Rucks are good.

Like the cheaper forward line as there are so many unknowns this season. Lobb if fit looks like a good pick and Lids if fit should be good enough to make some decent coin.

Riska to Brodie
Byrne to whoever you can afford

Is what I would consider.

EDIT: This is the first team without Danger that i genuinely like.

Bully

Danger!Danger!Danger!

Would absolutely 100% upgrade TMitchell to Danger, even if that means going Gaz to Cripps.

Rischitelli though

WouldNotCoach/10, did the missus make this one wato?

+1 ;D

Nige

Surely taking the piss with the RiskyTV pick there, Watlad. Properly justify that one for us, ya absolute madman.

Alright Richitelli is flowered off, however I don’t see him as that bad of a pick. They need some experienced bodies and he is one of them.

DEF: Laird, Hibberd, Lloyd, O’Shea, Doedee, Cumming (Murray, Keefe)
MID: Mitchell, Ablett, Bont, Fyfe, Neale, Beams, Treloar, LDU (Kelly, Worpel, Holman)
RUC: Gawn, Lycett (Cameron)
FWD: Franklin, Billings, Deledio, Christensen, Ahern, Venables (Ryan, Garlett)

I’m absolutely loving the stacked mid structure atm

Really risky thinking you can predict the top 10 mids... Especially with what happened last year. Given the structure though, you've spread the cash nicely, i like it.

_wato

As if anyone could predict the top 10 mids.... I have one spot open for Danger and that’s it.

I’m fairly confident the 7 I’ve chose can finish top 15-20. Treloar is my Cripps pick, only $20k more and well against the grain.

Fair enough, there are a lot of midfielders who could be in the top 10. 25-30 odd with the ability including the ones you have. High reward early, and could go either way later in the year. I personally like it, just don't have the balls!
