Thinking Lobb + Ryan to Richards via Sicily and any forward premo.

Hold Gaz and wait for Danger to drop $50k or grab Crouch back in.

_wato

Scored 2049, have no flowering idea how I'm ever gonna rank well, not making any ground.

Last week went to Greene & Richards.

This week have $45k and will be trading GAJ and Cyril (what a flowering hack)

Initial thoughts was to Danger and Coff.

DEF: Laird, Lloyd, Savage, Murray, Doedee, Finlayson (Richards, Keefe)
MID: Dangerfield (C), Titch (VC), Fyfe, Bontempelli, Beams, Coniglio, Armitage, Kelly (Banfield, Coffield, Holman)
RUC: Gawn, Sandilands (Olango)
FWD: Greene, Billings, Smith, Sicily, Fritsch, Garlett (Venables, Langdon)

Other option is to get two prems in, and miss Danger.

DEF: Laird, Lloyd, Savage, Murray, Doedee, Finlayson (Richards, Keefe)
MID: Titch (C), Fyfe (VC), Bontempelli, Beams, Zerrett, Coniglio, Armitage, Kelly (Banfield, Garlett, Holman)
RUC: Gawn, Sandilands (Olango)
FWD: Greene, Billings, Acres, Smith, Sicily, Fritsch (Venables, Langdon)

So really it's Danger + Coff v Zerrett + Acres

What are other people's thoughts????? I'm stuck

crowls

Not convinced everything is ok with Zerret.  Acres is also unproven.    Therefore Danger and good rookie are a better option.

Yep, grab Coffield and a premium midfielder. Why not Dustin Martin over Danger?

Because Dusty is playing literally perma full forward, I can see some sub par scores coming from him. Not each week he'll kick 5 or 6.

I'm thinking of going Rioli > Mirra and GAJ > Oliver. Leaves me $260k to upgrade next week.

Armitage > Heeney/Gray next week and Guelfi will come in.

DEF: Laird, Lloyd, Savage, Murray, Doedee, Mirra (Richards, Keefe)
MID: Mitchell, Oliver, Fyfe, Bontempelli, Beams, Coniglio, Finlayson, Kelly (Banfield, Garlett, Holman)
RUC: Gawn, Sandilands (Olango)
FWD: Heeney/Buddy/Gray, Greene, Billings, Smith, Sicily, Fritsch (Venables, Langdon)

What do we think of that? 6 trades down so far and ranked 63k so going hard.

_wato

Another option I was thinking was going (depending on his score this week), Doedee to Guelfi, leaves me with $450k in bank, go Armo to Danger at like $670k and have $100k in bank leftover for another up down and would target forward line week after.

DEF: Laird, Lloyd, Savage, Murray, Finlayson, Mirra (Richards, Keefe)
MID: Dangerfield, Mitchell, Oliver, Fyfe, Bontempelli, Beams, Coniglio, Kelly (Banfield, Garlett, Holman)
RUC: Gawn, Sandilands (Olango)
FWD: Greene, Billings, Smith, Sicily, Fritsch, Guelfi (Venables, Langdon)

And then move Fritschy boy on.

_wato

I'm gonna go GAJ > Oliver and Rioli > Guelfi simply because if Armitage does indeed play, I wouldn't be able to field him because I'd have Finlayson and Kelly at M7/8.

Leaves me with $246k, and next week I'll go Doedee > Mirra giving me about $450k to upgrade Venables (who's injured) to Heeney.

Would have $70k leftover then, will downgrade Holman to best available rookie and net $150k, and then upgrade Armitage to a hopefully bottomed out Danger.

So in 2 weeks, my side will hopefully look like.

DEF: Laird, Lloyd, Savage, Murray, Finlayson, Mirra (Richards, Keefe)
MID: Dangerfield, Mitchell, Oliver, Fyfe, Bontempelli, Beams, Coniglio, Kelly (Banfield, Garlett, Holman)
RUC: Gawn, Sandilands (Olango)
FWD: Heeney, Greene, Billings, Smith, Sicily, Fritsch (Guelfi, Langdon)

20 trades left once I get to this stage, and only the 1 rookie in both the forward line and midfield and the two gun defensive rookies Finlayson and Murray and will then be able to loophole Mirra and Richards for the time being to get the best available score. Kelly/Finlayson/Murray will make it fairly easy to upgrade to premiums due to their great scoring ability.

Will be looking at Gray to round out my forwards post his bye, most likely Dusty in the mids, and then whoever in the backline (most likely Simmo/Yeo/Hurley. I'm hoping I can have a full team with 11-12 trades remaining but then will look to offload blokes such as Beams/Billings/Sandi if they don't look like becoming super premos. Thoughts? I think this is the best way to go about things.

Like the GAJ to Oliver move. Will be a top 10 mid guaranteed.

Rioli to Guelfi is a good move early too, will give you the funds to make some more moves next week.

Might be stating the obvious here, but Sandi, Billings (like me), Lloyd, Bont and Beams are the guys that could make or break you going forward. Would be monitoring all those guys closely :).

_wato

Thanks SL, my thoughts exactly. Oliver has Tiges, Dons, Saints, Suns & Blues in the next 5 weeks.. No taggers evident iirc, expect him to go 120+ over that period with ease.

Yep those 5 guys I will monitor. Lloyd averaging 91 and 3/4 over 85 so not too fussed, I bought him for consistency and he is delivering. Sandi will be shipped at some stage, really eyeing off Ryder once his bye is done and over his injury, will be a good POD who can hopefully climb me some ground. Billings will come good imo, the Saints just have to start being more competitive. Bont was on 112 at 3qt this week and went backwards, 3 easy tons in the last 3 weeks has me confident he'll be fine. Beams is the real worry. Really not sure what to do with him.. 69,59,83 doesn't look like he's anywhere near regaining form.

Now that Armo isn't named, and Fritsch doesn't look like getting named (on top of Venables being injured) I'm really stuck on what to do now as current trade plans will leave me with a donut in the forward line.

Hold on Oliver, 150 BE, could get a forward or get Yeo by moving Finlayson to the mids, Garlett to the forwards.

_wato

Garlett already in the forwards, if I wanna trade Gaz to a forward need to sub him into mids.
Trading Cyril and already subbing Sicily down forward, so doesn’t work out either.

Current team as it stands.

DEF: Laird, Lloyd, Savage, Sicily, Doedee, Murray (Richards, Keefe)
MID: Mitchell, Fyfe, Bontempelli, Beams, Coniglio, Finlayson, Kelly, Holman (Ablett, Armitage, Banfield)
RUC: Gawn, Sandilands (Olango)
FWD: Greene, Billings, Smith, Cyril, Fritsch, Garlett (Venables, Langdon)

PowerBug

I'd still get Oliver from GAJ.

Then Venables to Coffield, swining Sicily fwd?
