Good trades SL, I'd definitely lock them in. Ronke should be good for a few weeks, as there are a few Swans lower in the pecking order, who should get dropped first.

Ringo

Won't be getting dropped after 5 goals in a quarter.

Haha cheers guys. Brought him in but got him on the bench.

Can't complain though, his JS looks rock solid now.

SilverLion

Have devised a three round plan:

392k in the bank atm.

Round 8-9:
Doedee/Finlayson --> Yeo/Simpson

Should have about 70k left.

Round 9-10:
Fritsch/Crowden --> Phillips/Witherden

Should have about 90k still.

Round 10-11 (After the Port/GC bye):
Billings/Langdon --> Gray/Rookie

Billings has until then to give me a reason to keep him. Don't mind if he loses a little more, should still be able to afford Gray barring massive variations in numbers. In theory if Billings goes b2b 100s I think I'll still trade him, would just give me more cash to work with.

Would leave me with 14 trades and only Kelly and one other Rookie on the field to worry about.

Think this could work.

Round 9-10:
Fritsch Kelly/Crowden Coffield --> Phillips/Witherden Dangerfield

Should have about 90k still.

Round 10-11 (After the Port/GC bye):
Billings/Langdon --> Gray/Rookie

Will give a proper update at the conclusion of this round :)

Will be doing Fritsch --> Walters and Crowden --> T. Smith this week. Might be early on Fritsch, but he's made tons of cash and am happy to cash him in for a cheap Walters.

My side will look like this:

Def: Laird, Yeo, Hurley, Simpson, Sicily, Savage (Mirra, Duman)
Mid: Dangerfield, Fyfe, Mitchell, D. Martin, Cripps, Coniglio, Merrett, Robinson (F/M) (Phillips, Spargo (F/M), Garlett (F/M))
Ruck: Gawn, S. Martin (Olango)
Fwd: McLean (F/M), Heeney (F/M), D. Smith, Walters (F/M), Billings, Ronke (T. Smith, Giles-Langdon)

Over the next couple of weeks the plan is to go Ronke --> Macrae via Robinson to finish my side. Will get the funds for that probably by cashing in Giles-Langdon and either Mirra or Spargo.

After getting Macrae in that will leave me with 11 trades and a full side. Will push Billings to the bench and swing Sicily forward to bring in a Ryan/Lloyd/Howe type as a luxury at some stage.

Thoughts?

Cheers guys :)

Can sense I'm going to need a few of those trades, Billings needs to get to F7 ASAP and my mid bench will be reasonably thin too.

Mid bench bot to bad spargo and phillips playing good enough. Gartlett may come back in this week played well in vfl

That's true, hopefully at least 2/3 of those guys keep getting regular games.

I also just noticed this achievement pop up:

That made my season :D

Why not trade Billings instead SL? He has absolute zero confidence atm.

Yeah that's the other alternative.

I'm aiming to get Macrae either straight after his bye, or the week after that so he's probably going to be 650k at the least.

Idea was to trade Fritsch as he's basically maxed out, and then some combination of Ronke/Mirra/Spargo/Billings/ZGL go over the coming weeks to get the cash for Macrae, who goes depends on BEs and cash made.

But I have considered keeping Fritsch too, just haven't crunched the numbers as to how'd I get Macrae if I did.

Cheers for the idea though, will definitely be doing some calculations before Friday.

tommy10

No probs mate and understand you want to use the cash wisely. I just think Fritsch is playing more on wing and getting more of the ball hence his higher scores. He should go up 20-30k more and then max out. Macrae would be perfect after the bye.

SilverLion

Alright so doing some maths:

Macrae is currently 726k with a BE of 157. If he scores around 100-110, my guess is that he'd be 700k. However, his BE would be huge if this was the case, so more than likely I'd have to wait a week after his bye, thinking his price could potentially drop to 650k.

If he goes 130+ this week his price won't change much and his BE will stay around the same, so will have to bring him in straight after his bye for around 715-720k.

To get those funds the trades I think I'll do over the next couple of weeks are:

Mirra --> Heron/Mihocek (+158k)
Langdon --> Giro/Murphy/Ahern (+100k)

With the potential for the following trade to also be necessary:
Spargo --> Any rookie mid (+170k)

Which should cover basically any scenario to allow for Ronke --> Macrae (-350-400k) in 2-3 weeks time.

The hope is that Macrae goes around or below 100 this week, bouncing back with a 120 odd after his bye, pushing back the necessity to bring him in at max price.

It seems that if I was to trade Billings instead of Fritsch I simply wouldn't have the funds to get Macrae in within 3 trades.

Or alternatively Macrae completely spuds it/gets injured/reported this week and I'll bring in Gaff/Oliver ;D
