Same with me SL, all dependent on Doedee at this stage. He's the guy that will determine my trades for next week.

HoleMeal

Can't fault that 2 week plan mate, team looks good.
Bonner, Doe def on the block next week unless they can go 75 plus this week.

That Ryan -> Coff one is good, benching your worst scorer and getting a good one on the field. I'd be wary of trading out Doe too early, wet weather didn't help last week. Might need to be a mid upgrade first. Bonner has a BE of 58 this week so he might have to go next week.
Cheers PB.

Yeah probably agree regarding Doedee. Though if he goes sub 60 this week I reckon I'll make the move, think fielding Coffield shouldn't be an issue. Looks to have reasonable JS too now that he's in.

If Naughton gets another 50 odd, that should get him to around 250k, and Bonner another 60-70 should get him to around 320-330k.

Those two together with the funds I have in the bank mean that I'll have around 615k for Mirra + a premium. Will be touch and go who I can get.

If Doedee goes sub 60, his BE will be around 80ish I'd guess, and with his cash I'd easily have enough for a prem.

Hard to guarantee what I'll do next week currently, think I'll just work it out as I go.

" think i'll just work it out as i go ", That's so much me haha. People say if x gets his b/e, or y misses his, i'll go plan a, or plan b. Injuries, tagging , coach's moves, weather, a migraine, argument with the missus, grudge with the coach or team-mate, dogs crook = not switched on, there's so many variables. As you can tell, i'm a glass half empty bloke lol. Just ask Grazz :) Spur of the moment is my motto, but i normally go crap  :o

Dudge

In saying all that, i like the the Ryan - Coffield trade. That's what i'm doing anyway

Haha cheers guys.

Sometimes that's the best way Dudge ;)

Team now looks like this:

Def: Laird, Hurley, Savage, Bonner, Doedee, Murray (Naughton, Coffield (D/M))
Mid: Mitchell, D. Martin, Fyfe, Cripps, Coniglio, Kelly, Finlayson (D/M), Holman (Banfield, Garlett (F/M), Crowden (F/M))
Ruck: S. Martin, Gawn (Olango)
Fwd: Heeney (F/M), McLean (F/M), D. Smith, Billings, Sicily (F/D), Christensen (Fritsch, Giles-Langdon)

35k in the bank.

SilverLion

Time to bring in one my favourite SC players of the last couple of years... welcome aboard Zerrett.

Trades this week:
Naughton --> Mirra
Bonner --> Zerrett (via Finlayson)

Had to cull Naughton to make the move possible, but Bonner's time has come and I'm not sure I'm missing out on that much $$$ from Naughton. Mirra at 102k won't need too many price rises to be worthwhile. Opted for Mirra over Guelfi mainly because if I went Guelfi I'd be locked into trading Fritsch/Christensen next week for Duman, and I'm not sure I want to lock myself into a rookie trade in advance - especially a Freo rookie.

Def: Laird, Hurley, Savage, Finalyson (D/M), Doedee, Murray (Coffield (D/M), Mirra)
Mid: Mitchell, Fyfe, D. Martin, Coniglio, Cripps, Z. Merrett, Kelly, Holman (Banfield, Garlett (F/M), Crowden (F/M))
Ruck: Gawn, S. Martin (Olango)
Fwd: Heeney (F/M), McLean (F/M), Smith, Sicily (F/D), Billings, Christensen (Fritsch, Giles-Langdon)

ZGL will cover for Sicily this week. Will loophole him with Fritsch if Fritsch plays.

Everyone think its worthwhile bringing Zerrett in this week?

Ringo

Is it worth sitting on the Bonner trade with Hartletts injury and seeing what role he has.  Bonner has a B/e of 67 so could still make a little. Merrett is not predicted to rise much in price so could hold for a week as well.

For cash gain if holding Bonner is it worth going Garlett to Guelfi via Heeny or Maclean. Basically comes down to which rookies will score the most.

ubeaut

I'd stick with these trades mate.

Not ideal to rely on Duman and locking yourself into trading Fritsch/Bundy who still have cash to make.
Bundy is doing great id squeeze every point and dollar outta him. Pretty peed off his PS put me off him.

Interesting thoughts Ringo. I see merit (hah) in going Garlett to Guelfi, but it would mean I'd be benching Holman; not sure I want to do that just yet. Might be true regarding Hartlett and Bonner's role, but I think Pittard isn't far away from coming in, if I don't trade Bonner this week, it'd be next week.

Looking at the prem options for next week, I don't see any options that really stand out ahead of Zerrett this week.

Cheers ubeaut. Definitely trying to, hoping he gets to 400k.

Never left my side once all pre-season, as a Lions supporter I've watched him closer than most - was always going to be a decent option up forward ;)

SilverLion

Will be sticking with those trades.

Now have an Essendon premo on every line (excl. ruck) :o

SilverLion

Currently ranked 430, which is far and away as high a ranking I've ever had in SC. At least if I stuff my year up from here I'll have that to hang my hat on :)

Gotta keep the upgrades coming, especially with a double downgrade looking on the cards next week.

Thinking:

Holman --> Spargo
Murray --> Robinson (via Sicily)

Def: Laird, Hurley, Savage, Sicily (F/D), Finlayson (D/M), Doedee (Mirra, Coffield (D/M))
Mid: Fyfe, D. Martin, Mitchell, Cripps, Coniglio, Merrett, Kelly, Spargo (F/M) (Banfield, Crowden (F/M), Garlett (F/M))
Ruck: Gawn, S. Martin (Olango)
Fwd: Heeney (F/M), McLean (F/M), Robinson (F/M), Smith, Billings, Christensen (Fritsch, Giles-Langdon)

Alternatively, just go Murray --> Spargo via Sicily and bank the cash for Danger next week, though I think that could be a week or two early.

Thoughts?

SilverLion

Reckon I'll go Duman instead of Spargo if Coffield is dropped. Would allow me to go Coffield --> Spargo and either Christensen --> Ronke or Banfield/Garlett/Crowden --> Mutch/Worpel next week.

If Coffield does play then I'm not sure.

ubeaut

Seeing as you've got only two back rookies on field Murray > fwd premo looks a great trade.
Have u considered getting Gray instead of Robbo?
Spargo looks the best rookie to go early on, although it's still a risk.

Couldn't afford Gray unfortunately, reckon even if I could I'd wait until post-bye.

Reckon I might leave Sicily down back and get Gray as my last forward upgrade. Depending on what happens with Billings though.

Ended up going Duman, couldn't bring myself to go early on a rookie. Re-opened the DPP with Coffield and Finlayson as well.

Will be looking at Spargo/Mutch/Ronke/Worpel/McInerney this week.

SilverLion

Thinking the old double downgrade this week, possibly with a double upgrade next week:

Christensen --> Ronke
Banfield --> Spargo

Essentially fielding Spargo instead of Christensen.

D: Laird, Hurley, Sicily (F/D), Savage, Doedee, Finlayson (D/M) (Duman, Mirra)
M: Fyfe, Cripps, Mitchell, D. Martin, Coniglio, Z. Merrett, Kelly, Spargo (F/M) (Coffield (D/M), Garlett (F/M), Crowden (F/M))
R: Gawn, S. Martin (Olango)
F: Heeney (F/M), McLean (F/M), Robinson (F/M), D. Smith, Billings, Fritsch (Giles-Langdon, Ronke)

Next week I'd have the funds to go Doedee and Finlayson to Yeo and Simpson to complete my backs. Or possibly just one of those two and hold the other trade and cash for Gray in rd. 11.

Whats everyone's thoughts on Ronke? I think he only has to stay in the side for 2-3 more weeks to make enough cash to justify the pick. Anyone know what his JS is like?
