With Keeffe not named and O'Connor's JS being unreliable to say the least, am going to roll the dice with Bonner.

Yeah thats a really tough one. Geelong seem to like oconnor and there is fog and esta that could be dropped before him. But Bonner has prob got that Pittard role and think he will score well. So Yeah Bonner if you have the cash I think. May as well use it.

Can't complain with that move so far ;D

SilverLion

Def: Hurley, Laird, Savage, Bonner, Doedee, Finalyson (Murray, Naughton)
Mid: D. Martin, Mitchell, M. Crouch, Fyfe, Cripps, Coniglio, Armitage, Kelly (And. Brayshaw, Banfield, Holman)
Ruck: S. Martin, Gawn (Olango)
Fwd: Billings, D. Smith, Sicily (D/F), Christensen, Giles-Langdon, Fritsch (Garlett (M/F), Ryan)

This was how my side lined up for round 1.

Have to trade M. Crouch this week (barring miracle 1-2 week hammy). Thinking I'll go to Oliver or Macrae if going another mid. But am more tempted by going a forward, as will allow me to play Holman and bench Giles-Langdon. Also allows me to bank some cash for Danger.

Thinking M. Crouch --> Heeney via Garlett atm. Thoughts?

Yep, big fan of the Heeney transfer in, get ZGL off the field.

Ringo

Would do that trade especially if Sicily is suspended, Would play Yran over Giles Langdon if this is case as well.
However would only do if Crouchs injury looks like being more than 2 weeks,

Mongoose528

Agree with what's been said here, great trade.

Cheers guys :)

And yeah I'll loop ZGL and Ryan this week Ringo if Sicily gets suspended, I'd take a 60+. The thought of how I would cover his suspension is one of the things that made me consider this move; definitely don't want to play 3 fwd rookies on the field, not even for a week.

Agree SL  risky having to take 3 fwd rookie scores.    Expecting sooner rather than later we will cop in with our 3 rookie def as well.   So far they have been providing prem scores allowing everyone to score well.

Cheers crowls. Agreed with the DEF rookies performing above and beyond, am especially hoping Bonner continues a 75+ average though.

With Sicily copping the week and ZGL missing, will be bringing in Heeney. Will have to field Ryan to cover for Sicily.

Contemplating trading ZGL for Fogarty (Geel) or Waterman but think it's a waste of a trade.

Hoping there's no issues with Smith or Hurley or I'm just about cooked this week :-\.

Haven't heard anything about Smith, but Hurley was only jogging laps at training this morning.

Yeah heard about that, cheers southstorm. Can cover Hurley with Murray/Naughton loophole for the week should he miss. Smith was the major concern.

Also contemplating ZGL --> Fogarty/Venables/Waterman depending on the team announcements tonight and tomorrow.

SilverLion

Feels like it's been a while since I've given an update!

Def: Hurley, Laird, Savage, Bonner, Doedee, Finlayson (D/M) (Murray, Naughton)
Mid: Mitchell, D. Martin, Fyfe, Cripps, Coniglio, McLean (F/M), Kelly, Holman (Banfield, Garlett (F/M), Crowden (F/M))
Ruck: S. Martin, Gawn (Olango)
Fwd: Heeney (F/M), Billings, Smith, Sicily (F/D), Christensen, Fritsch (Ryan, Giles-Langdon)

That was how my side lined up for round 4.

This week, thinking Ryan --> Coffield via McLean (bench Fritsch), and Finlayson to mids (play Murray on ground).

Next week possibly Naughton/Doedee --> Mirra and Bonner --> Yeo/Merrett/Simpson

Thoughts?

PowerBug

That Ryan -> Coff one is good, benching your worst scorer and getting a good one on the field. I'd be wary of trading out Doe too early, wet weather didn't help last week. Might need to be a mid upgrade first. Bonner has a BE of 58 this week so he might have to go next week.

Yeah probably agree regarding Doedee. Though if he goes sub 60 this week I reckon I'll make the move, think fielding Coffield shouldn't be an issue. Looks to have reasonable JS too now that he's in.

If Naughton gets another 50 odd, that should get him to around 250k, and Bonner another 60-70 should get him to around 320-330k.

Those two together with the funds I have in the bank mean that I'll have around 615k for Mirra + a premium. Will be touch and go who I can get.

If Doedee goes sub 60, his BE will be around 80ish I'd guess, and with his cash I'd easily have enough for a prem.

Hard to guarantee what I'll do next week currently, think I'll just work it out as I go.
