Hah my bad, should've made that clearer. Those are the trades from next week onwards, Fritsch --> Walters, Crowden --> T. Smith all but locked for this week.

Had a shocking week like many of us this week :(

Trade for this week:

Ronke --> Austin via Sicily (211k in bank)

Despite intending to get the side done by bringing in Macrae and pushing Billings to the bench as a luxury, I've decided that due to his shower form and the fact that Macrae will drop in price for a couple of weeks with a BE of 215 that I will be doing that luxury before bringing him in.

Here is a rough guideline of my plan:

Next week's trades:

ZGL --> JJK (-130k)
or Spargo --> JJK (-170k)

or

ZGL --> Hurn via Sicily (-250k)
or Spargo --> Hurn via Sicily (-270k)

To get the funds for that I'll have to bring in either Mihocek or Ahern prior to their bye, at this stage I'm leaning towards Ahern, but could go either way.

Spargo --> Ahern (+140k)
or ZGL --> Ahern (+150k)

Following week:

Mirra --> Mihocek (+160k)
or Duman --> Mihocek (120k)

Duman or Mirra --> J. Brown (102k M/F non-playing rookie) (or another rookie that pops up by then) via Sicily (+150k)

Billings/Smith --> Macrae (depending on funds)

Final side, with 8 trades left becomes one of the following variants:

JJK + T. Smith:

Def: Laird, Yeo, Hurley, Simpson, Sicily (D/F), Savage (Austin, Mihocek)
Mid: Macrae, Mitchell, Dangerfield, Fyfe, Cripps, D. Martin, Coniglio, Merrett (Phillips, Garlett (F/M), Ahern (F/M))
Ruck: Gawn, Martin (Olango)
Fwd: McLean (F/M), Heeney (F/M), Robinson (F/M), Walters (F/M), D. Smith, Josh J. Kennedy (T. Smith, Brown (F/M))

JJK + Billings:

Def: Laird, Yeo, Hurley, Simpson, Sicily (D/F), Savage (Austin, Mihocek)
Mid: Macrae, Mitchell, Dangerfield, Fyfe, Cripps, D. Martin, Coniglio, Merrett (Phillips, Garlett (F/M), Ahern (F/M))
Ruck: Gawn, Martin (Olango)
Fwd: McLean (F/M), Heeney (F/M), Robinson (F/M), Walters (F/M), D. Smith, Josh J. Kennedy (Billings, Brown (F/M))

Hurn + T. Smith:

Def: Laird, Yeo, Hurley, Simpson, Hurn, Savage (Austin, Mihocek)
Mid: Macrae, Mitchell, Dangerfield, Fyfe, Cripps, D. Martin, Coniglio, Merrett (Phillips, Garlett (F/M), Ahern (F/M))
Ruck: Gawn, Martin (Olango)
Fwd: McLean (F/M), Heeney (F/M), Robinson (F/M), Walters (F/M), D. Smith, Sicily (F/D) (T. Smith, Brown (F/M))

Hurn + Billings:

Def: Laird, Yeo, Hurley, Simpson, Hurn, Savage (Austin, Mihocek)
Mid: Macrae, Mitchell, Dangerfield, Fyfe, Cripps, D. Martin, Coniglio, Merrett (Phillips, Garlett (F/M), Ahern (F/M))
Ruck: Gawn, Martin (Olango)
Fwd: McLean (F/M), Heeney (F/M), Robinson (F/M), Walters (F/M), D. Smith, Sicily (F/D) (Billings, Brown (F/M))

Aim is ideally to go Hurn + Billings, and with Brown a floating donut I should be able to loophole either a mid or forward rookie/Billings every week.

Few more trades used than I'd ideally like, but it does get Billings to F7, which means I'd still have 8 trades for injuries and what not in the back half of the year.

With this trade plan I'd have the following players missing in each of the bye rounds:

Round 12:

D: Yeo, Simpson, Mirra
M: Mitchell, Cripps, Garlett
R: Olango
F: Sicily, McLean

21 on the field before injuries/suspensions/rookies getting dropped.

Round 13:
D: Hurley
M: Coniglio, Merrett, Ahern
R: Martin, Gawn
F: D. Smith, Robinson, T. Smith

20 on the field " ".

Round 14:
D: Laird, Savage, Austin
M: Fyfe, Dangerfield, Martin, Phillips
R: -
F: Heeney, Walters, Billings*, J. Brown

18 on the field " ".

Pretty sure that's all correct, hard to wrap my head around it all ;D

Thoughts? Is there any other guys aside from Hurn and JJK worth looking at next week?

Forgot about the 3 port forwards in Westhoff, Boak and R. Gray. Could also bring in one of these guys instead.

Thinking Westhoff could be a solid option @ around 480k next week.

With Robbo missing all 3 byes and all the other injury and rookie doubts, looks like I'm likely to be player(s) down this week and possibly the next 2.

SilverLion

May have to trade Mirra instead of Ronke this week just to have an extra player on the field. Ronke could get an 80+ against the Saints as well. Pretty sure this won't effect my plans long term.

Righto. Will have to also trade Billings this week.

Boak vs. Gray vs. Westhoff?

Thinking the Hoff.

Scratch that, can't afford them.

Going Ahern early.

SilverLion

Haven't given an update the last couple of weeks as the byes have ravaged my team and ranking, pretty much due to most of my premiums getting injured/suspended.

I am at the stage where I can complete my side by making the following trade:

Ronke --> Oliver (via Robinson)

Also, I can do the following luxury trade that will give me a prem D7, who will also cover a donut this week:

Austin --> WitherGOAT

This leaves me with 32k and 7 Trades left, and the following side:

Keep an eye on Robbos injury - Was extremely proppy last weekend in the moon boot at the game.  He said 3 - 4 weeks when asked so need to see whether you have to trade for League wins or going up in the rankings.

Like the Withergoat trade and if Duman does not get games nice loophole options for you.

Just need to see if Tim Smith, Devon Smith, McLean come up as well. may have to use a trade to get 18 on the field.

Cheers Ringo.

Am hopeful that at least most of those guys can get up, Robbo's injury is a concern. Heard 2-3 weeks at first which gave him a chance for next week, seems that he will miss at least this week, maybe one more though. Don't really want to trade him, as he's a great PoD and almost a certainty to be a top 10 forward by average so will hold him regardless.

I have the cash to go D. Smith --> Gray if he doesn't play, but am optimistic that McLean will be fine and T. Smith will hopefully get a run. Garlett playing would be nice too ;)

Am definitely open to using that third trade to cover a donut if necessary though.

I feel like you'd be better off finding an F7 than a D7. Could maybe do a Garlett to a M/F option who you eventually swing fwd? Austin will continue to play so should provide okay cover there for you

Cheers PB. Have considered going for a forward, but am also concerned about Austin continuing to get games as well, so ideally want cover in both areas. Am thinking I'll get Jroo after his bye for F7, and via Ahern/Garlett will allow me to cover the mids and forwards too.

SilverLion

Thoughts on Garlett --> J. Smith pending team announcements?

Currently I need all 3 of Garlett, T. Smith and McLean to play to field 18. I'm thinking if Garlett isn't named this could save me a donut as well as make a quick 50k.

PowerBug

Only thing I have against Smith is the price tag. In my case I need to save every dollar so the extra $40k by going Redman I prefer.

When you say quick $50k I assume you mean the trade nets you $50k, as any price rises on Smith aren't useful unless you plan to trade him out (and with the season coming to a close is that likely?).

Yeah it's more so to get a guy who'll be playing this week, the 50k made in the trade is a bonus.

Definitely wouldn't intend to trade him out, ideally he'd be M10, with Ahern at M11. Giro is the guy I'd try to get to a good F7/M9 floater if I can.

SilverLion

Ended up not picking up Smith.

Am considering Garlett --> Dawson/England/Wilson/Powell this week.

Would mean I could go T. Smith --> Boak and Duman to 102k DEF donut next week with 4 trades left still.
