Any chance the 1000 post minimum changing any time soon?

I've been around here since 2012, but only posted around 200 times. Have had a few top 5000 finishes, and last year finished 14th overall.

It’s unlikely to change I’d say Trindacut. Was set up that way and those that play Elxam have earnt the right by getting to 1000 posts.
Some discussion has been had on the Coaches Board about this very thing in the last day or so.
I congratulate you on the successful rank you had last season and would welcome that caliber of coach to challenge the rest of us in Elxam but they are the rules and you can work towards qualification by enlightening us all with your knowledge in places such as the Players and team’s advice boards... I personally would love that regardless of Elxam.

Support NZ comments Trindacut.   You have a lot to offer the FF members and we would appreciate more of your thoughts on teams, players, strategies.

Exlam is a bonus highly competitive league for those that are putting in the time and effort to help other teams, discuss players. If no one posted then no one would be on the forum and there would be no Exlam at all.
1000 posts goes very quickly when you are responding to teams, posting your scores, captain choices. If you make 10 posts a day you get there within 3 months, once it gets closer and the forum gets busier then its easy to do 20-30 a day.

No worries, thought it was worth an ask as I won't get there this year.

To make things easier for LS perhaps the below could indicate here if they intend to participate in the Elxam Challengers League or not. We'll run an additional Elxam league if there is sufficient interest/ numbers.
Presently 151617/18 of the Champs are confirmed... still waiting on Jroo, Vinny and ando_10.

Elxam Challengers League 2018
Determined by 2017 Total Points placings after the Champions League spots were filled.
If coaches aren't able to commit or simply don't want to then their place will be forfeited to the next highest qualifier on Total Points. The premier of this league will automatically qualify for the Champions League as has been the case in the past when additional leagues have been run in Elxam. Should their be sufficient interest then a third league could operate but we'll have to see how things shape up.

N.B.Lord Sneeze has kindly offered to set this league up when the time comes.Thanks LS.

Edit : to be clearer Elxam comp members have to join the Group and those rankings were all from the Elxam Group of 2017 so whilst you played SC and did better than those on the list above I’m not going to put you above them as Elxam is about participating and qualifying for the next year. This will be your first year of participating. Gotta pay your dues.

No worries mate. There’s many aspects to Elxam. Took me a while to see how it all worked but once I did I realised it’s the best SC competition to be part of. That’s why I was happy to pick up the slack when Ossie stepped aside a few years back.
This is a labour of love.
6 years of being in the Elxam Champions League is my crowning glory. Will be a sad day when one of you buggers take my place and I’m relegated to making up the numbers but you can guarantee that if and when that happens I will do my darndest to earn my spot back the next year.
