D: Laird, Hibberd, Simpson, Coffield, Doedee, Finlayson (Murray, Goddard)
M: Dangerfield, Martin, Mitchell, Fyfe, Beams, Coniglio, Clark, Barry (Banfield, Garlett, Kelly)
R: Gawn, Jacobs (Olango)
F: Greene, Billings, Lobb, Christensen, Higgins, Fritsch (Venables, Ryan)

I don't like the cheaper D4 options and don't want to spend extra there.
Would like Cripps at M6 but short by around 6k with this team....will start him there if I can. M6 is up for grabs... warned everyone off about Armitage a while back but if I need a cash grab he's possible on how he's travelling now. Will still consider putting him there or even an expensive rookie LDu or Dow if I need the cash for fwd/ back strengthening.
Still have Lobb at F3 atm. Devon Smith is an easy replacement there if need be.

ubeaut

Good effort with 14 keepers and top 3 priced mids. Beams is so cheap for what he can do if he stays fit. It's the only risky pick besides maybe Lobb.
I guess like with all teams I've seen with14-15 possible keepers this set up requires skipping most if not all expensive rookies.
Hopefully enough decent cheap rookies get named but if not u have a backup plan to fit one or two in.
Flexibility is the key and u seem to have that covered.
Higgins to a slightly cheaper option would be the move to get Cripps at M6, not sure he'll break into the team that early.

Ringo

Nice team and structure As you say a lot will depend on playing rookies from Rd 1,

You have plans for flexibility as well.

Money Shot

Lobb in doubt for round 1 so Lobb to Smith and the team looks perfect.

If 5 rookies in the defence get up in the defence this looks like a great pick up.

have brought Sicily in for Lobb and have Keeffe on defender bench for DPP.

Done the same with Sicily at F4 so have to decide whether my d6 will core more than my f7

M: Martin, Mitchell, Oliver, Fyfe, Beams, Coniglio, Clark, Banfield (Barry, Kelly, Holman)
R: Gawn, Jacobs (Olango)
F: Greene, Billings, Sicily, Christensen, Stephenson, Fritsch (Fogarty, Ryan)

or

D: Laird, Hibberd, Sicily, Coffield, Doedee, Finlayson (Murray, Naughton)
M: Martin, Mitchell, Oliver, Fyfe, Beams, Coniglio, Clark, Banfield (Fogarty, Kelly, Holman)
R: Gawn, Jacobs (Olango)

c'mon nz,  you really going to trade a premo scoring 115 plus after 2 rounds.    I do not see half of these guys trading Danger in if they dont start him.     Lot of people who have obviously not started a superpremo 1 or 2 before and know how hard it is to find the space and the money.

Reckon I will. Both teams allow enough change for an Oliver to Danger trade.
Danger will be in my team as soon as he is playing. Present thoughts anyway.

Reckon you've done well to build that team with enough cash leftover to get Danger. Simpson vs Smith is toss of a coin imo not confident on Lobb with limited preseason and groin issues.
Who would you trade out tho? Will be a hard decision if they are scoring similar points and will be annoying if one has an off week, you trade them out then smash it thereafter while another mid drops a few stinkers.

That’s the risk there is but it’s like that for any trade.
Oliver is only in my team for the Dangerfield dilemma we may face. He’s the one to go when Danger is right to go, whether it be R1, 2 or 3 and irregardless of how he may have scored. If he pumps out a couple of 120+s and I jump off, I have those in the bank. Should others jump on him as a correctional trade and he scores a bit lower for them whilst Danger goes 120+ I’m gonna have a leg up on the field albeit at the cost of an early trade.
Either way it’s a gamble but to me it seems like a good plan if going for an overall ranking which I am.

Ok so here’s the team as it stands now...
D- Laird, Simpson, Hibberd, Bonner, Doedee, Finlayson (Murray, Keeffe)
M- Dangerfield, Martin, Mitchell, J Kelly, Fyfe, Armitage, T Kelly, Holman (Brayshaw, Banfield, Garlett)
R- Gawn, Jacobs (Olango)
F- Billings, DSmith, Sicily, Lobb, Fritsch, G-Langdon (Venables, Ryan)

No real issues but Hibberd is giving me food for thought. Shaw would be the go to.
English as F8 might be another consideration if he scores well again and the Eagle boys struggle to another 30 odd.

Nice work NZ, I wouldn't make any trades this week. Hibberd will be a top 6 defender, so I wouldn't be burning 2 trades to take him out and bring him back just for some cash.

Which FWD rookies will you be fielding next week? I'm in a similar boat myself haha.

Thinking Ryan and Fritsch, but maybe ZGL?

Thanks SL. Still thinking about Hibberd/Shaw.... will probably to and fro all week.
I have Keeffe as potential loophole fwd/back so I will put the E on Murray in defence but he would need to score 85+ with Doedee and Finlayson both gunning it. Reckon I won't need to loophole there but it would be a nice problem to have.
As for forwards Venables is benched, Ryan is fielded and the E will go on Fritsch as Keeffe and ZGL both play for GWS so it's impossible to do the other way around and both ZGL and Fritsch are going similar 50/60s so not much between them. Fritsch was reported to have a knock to the ribs too so maybe that could be a factor as well, unlikely but looking for something else to split them.

Didn't trade last week. Kept Hibberd.
Traded Armitage and Lobb out for Coniglio and Crowden this week.

D- Laird, Simpson, Hibberd, Bonner, Doedee, Finlayson (Murray, Keeffe)
M- Dangerfield, Martin, Mitchell, J Kelly, Fyfe, Coniglio, T Kelly, Holman (Brayshaw, Banfield, Garlett)

Have to see how the J Kelly situation unfolds but the obvious trade next week is Ryan out. Would have liked to see Higgins keep his spot as that was where my thinking was at but now I'm not too sure. Brayshaw and Ryan will give me about 520k to bring in two players which isn't enough for a keeper so will probably look at a couple of rookies on the bubble and build the coffers.
