Just saw the DT Talk article too.

Haven't read any articles, he's been on my radar ever since Docherty went down.

Birch will still play at least one JLT game and be in a lot of teams.

Don't think he will be in mine

That could hurt. Hopefully some solid rookies pop up because I don't fancy paying for a 4th premo in defence.
In saying that, the end of Jan is only a couple of weeks away so might not be the end of the world. If he gets out there for atleast 1 JLT game ill go with him

Don't see Crameri doing that shower.

This really throws a spanner in the works for more.

Ideally Having three of Hurley, Laird, Yeo and Hibberd with 5 rookies would be perfect but I am not confident that 5 rookies that look like genuine scorers look like playing, at this stage anyways.

What other options are there at the 250-350k range though? not many that I see.

In regards too Byrne has only scored over 80 once in his 15 game career but the blues love him and he is best 22 when fit according too the blues (even if I disagree :P) so I won't be starting him at this stage.

What were people expecting from Birchall anyway? 80? With Cloke, Stringer and Crameri gone Tory Dickson will be the main man at the Dogs and he'll be averaging 80 at some point. Might finish the year at 75 but if you sell him at the right time you'll have gotten Birchall output, for 10k less.

Dickson was crushed with injury in the preseason last year and never got going. But take a look at 2015. Averaged 81.1 from the first 9 despite scoring 29 one week. He's our only legitimate forward.

Good point meow,

Hawka

If Birch struggles for fitness he may not even be a shoe in for our team before he plays good footy for box hill.
I hope he is but we do have many options in defence

Peter

Meow - do you see Crozier getting a decent go and being an option as well?

I wouldn't count on it but we must have gotten him for a reason. We were keen on him in his draft year but McCartney wanted the toughest player he could get so we went for Clay instead. Fwiw I don't think he's in our best 22.
