Bit of a problem with only a bit of money ($900) left. Early days anyway
+1

Gunna have to make yourself flexible with your prem choices as a result.

Now that SC is officially open, it's time for another update.

Def: Hibberd, Simpson, Savage, Brayshaw, J.Smith, Murray, (Doedee, Cumming)

Mid: Dangerfield, Mitchell, Kelly, Oliver, Fyfe, LDU, Brodie, Lovell, (Garlett, Kelly, Barry)

Ruck: Jacobs, Gawn, (Olango)

Fwd: Heeny, Greene, Billings, Christensen, Higgins, Ahern, (Venables, Ryan)

Bank: $2,100.

Very happy with this side. 6/12/10 bye structure (not including Olango), and 2/5/6 Premo bye structure

Money Shot

Very similar to mine, looks like your in for a good season ;)

He's one who I have been keen on getting into my team since day one. One of the good things about him is he has players around him who are more likely to be tagged. Can see his avg pushing closer to 115 with Gawn back to feed him clearances.

Hoggyz_a_legend

Toying with a slight structure change.

Greene/Brodie vs Lobb/O'Meara.

It'd leave me with Brayshaw D4, O'Meara M6, Lobb F3, Christensen F4- probably the most midpricers I've ever had in my team.

They all have the potential to avg 80+ (O'Meara can avg 100+ at this best).

One way or another, I'd still have 3 upgrades to make- Lobb will be intended to be a keeper, as long as he gets the no.1 ruck as we all expect, and avg 90+.

New month, new team update.

Def: Laird, Hibberd, L.McDonald, Brayshaw, O'Shea, Murray, (Doedee, Cumming)

Mids: Dangerfield, Martin, Mitchell, Kelly, Fyfe, O'Meara, LDU, Brodie, (Higgins, Kelly, Barry)

Rucks: Jacobs, Gawn, (Olango)

Fwds: Billings, D.Smith, Lobb, Christensen, Garlett, Ahern, (Venables, Ryan)

Bank: $17,300.

I like the 2 rookies on ground per line. Brayshaw and Chrsitensen can easily go 85+ if uninjured. O'Meara could score anything if his body is back to 100% (no knee strapping has me excited). SMith should go back to 85+ avg at the least, McDonald will play mid all year and imo can avg close to 100. Lobb is logical if he is no.1 ruck.

Byes are ok. Will focus on getting in Rnd 12 bye players with the first few upgrades though, as Rnd 13 and 14 have 6 premos missing.

Lobb likely to miss rd1

why not Kelly to Cripps and then Lobb too <$500k player

Hoggyz_a_legend

Kelly is one of 4 premos who haven't moved and won't move from their spot in my first team- Kelly, Fyfe, Gawn, Billings.

Source on Lobb likely to miss Rd 1 as have not seen anything.

Dusty > Cripps
Lobb > Heeney ?
Is it worth paying for the top 3 mids? Will they be top 3 at the end? Maybe, but Dusty most likely to drop to affordable price.

With the Rioli & Lobb news I'm trying to get Heeney now, don't trust the others.

Just a few too many risks for me. Brayshaw COULD be good, McDonald COULD be good, Omeara, Smith, Lobb,  Christensen.. they wont all be good, id try and get rid of a couple of that list as you only have 10 I'd call guranteed keepers.

Mitchel/Kelly to Cripps and Lobb/Smith to Gray/Heeney. A little less unique but there is too unique.

Hoggyz_a_legend

Been playing around with structures due to some of the defense and forward rookies seeming to drop off our radars, and came up with this team.

Def: Laird, Hibberd, Lloyd, Sicily, ???, ???, (Doedee, Finlayson)
Mids: Martin, Mitchell, Kelly, Fyfe, Brayshaw, Dow, LDU, Brodie, (Ahern, Kelly, Barry)
Rucks: Goldstein, Gawn, (Olango)
Fwds: Heeney, Billings, Mclean, Smith, Christensen, Fritsch, (Venables, Garlett)

With the 2x ???, I have $400k to spend.

I know- no Danger. But to allow me to get 4 players I intend to keep as premos in Def and Fwd lines, he needs to go.

I get that my starting scores may put me behind the 8-ball, but if the rookies don't pop up over the next 3 weeks, this will be my structure.

One change I might make is Mclean -> Lobb if he gets up Rnd 1, which leaves $390k for D5 and 6.

Obviously this is super risky, and I may not have the balls to go into the season with this structure, but I've been having major doubts on some of the non-mid rookies for a while now, and this team allows me to rely on only one rookie playing each week in Def and Fwd.
