How confident are you with preseason injuries to Heeney, Billings and Lobb? I'm tossing up still, but i'm on the cautious side with heeney and billings especially...

I'm actually the opposite. Heeney is back out on the track now and Billings should only miss 2 weeks

Lobb seems to have had the most interrupted preseason and still isn't with the main group

Quite happy for as many people as possible to jump off Heeney and Billings due to their pre-seasons..

Yeah I heard Heeney was up and about  ;)

Money Shot

Your most recent team is your best one yet.

As for Heeney and Billings I am very happy looking at there percentages among FF members dropping as Heeney is back into full training and Billings should be right for JLT.

I like the Sicily to O'Shea option and spending the extra in the mids.

Coniglio a far better option than Sicily IMO

frenzy

Kade Simpson amazing, imagine how easy this caper would be if we had twenty Kades. He's only missed 5 games in the last 12 seasons.

That's why I've picked him. The ultimate set and forget in defense, yet always a POD

90+ and 22 games year after year after year

Teams will never tag him, and he becomes the chief again with Dochers out

Can't decide between Gray, Dahl and Walters for F2 position. I'm bloody stuck with this one.

Gray has the round 10 bye and is a high standard deviation player, that means you'll have to toss up between the other two, hard to split as both look to be in tip top condition. Maybe look at the bye spread.

I think I'm pretty settled on this structure

DEF
- D4 will either be Cole or Naughton
- I've put O'Connor at D8 because I think he will get a few games at some point in the season but I am going to use him as my floating donut, as this allows Coffield to essentially cover both def and mid now
- Sicily could be anything, but the main reason I am picking him is because I don't like any of the others who cost 100k more, plus he has DPP and cover cover my forward line

MID
- Not interested in starting high priced rookies like Brayshaw, Brodie etc.. I think Arma at M7 should go 80+ most weeks and make just as much if not more than a rookie so he's a lock for me, and this allows me to just need 4 rookies (which is all I think we might have to chose from)

RUC
- Freo have plenty of home games early on and I just need Sandi to get through the first 10 matches which I think he can

FWD
- I don't like starting guys who have had interrupted preseasons, but Lobb just fits the structure well. I've always said Bundy was a lock for me and I could downgrade Lobb to Bundy/Bell to generate funds but this structure just allows me to do everything else I want in other lines
- Starting 2 rookies on field might be risky, but if they can push 50-60 most weeks I make up for it on other lines. If Danger doesn't line up Round 1 I could always downgrade him and use the cash to upgrade one of the rookies to Bundy/Bell
- Keeffe at F8 purely to allow me to swing Sicily forward if my forward rookies turn out to be Pickett 2.0's

Might be risky having 3 rookies who likely won't be playing (O'Connor, Keeffe, Olango) as I suffer in terms of cash generation, but in all honesty I think the alternatives that will be available will make flower all cash anyway so their DPP and loophole benefits will actually be worth more to me than replacing them with guys like Ryan/Rioli etc who will make bugger all cash imo.

Chances are Coffield and Doedee will be better scorers than any of the WCE rookies so I can field one of them and move Sicily forward if need be

1. Sicily at D3 scares me, IMO if you really want him I'll put him at F4, downgrage Lobb and then use the cash to get another prem def.
2. Coffield is to much money to have lying on the bench.

Other then that nice team :)

Not sure how I can move Sicily to F4 then downgrade Lobb to get funds to get another prem def? Doesn't make sense. Like I said, I don't like any of the other prem defs at their current prices

Coffield could easily start on field. I don't like starting pricier rookies but I'm forced to with D4 due to lack of options. As for Coff I could downgrade him to Garlett/Barry if they are named, but Coff's DPP to cover two lines is worth the $ for me

Garlett/Venables probably the only two other rookies I will consider if named other than the guys I already have above

GoLions

Cash? Personally I'd sacrifice the D/M DPP for now, and drop Cole for Brodie or a cheaper mid rookie.

Bugger all cash

Coffield replaces Cole and Brodie comes in? Is that what you're suggesting? If I do that I don't need O'Connor then, but who else is there to fill D8? That's why I went with this approach because Murray, Doedee and Finlayson look like the only 3 cheap rookies starting and being half good

As for cheaper mid rookies besides possibly Barry and Garlett I can't see any one else starting. Garlett might not score well and Barry might get dropped early which is why I'm only starting 4 mid rookies total
