This is more so just so I can see where I am starting, and where I will actually be come Round 1  ;D

Exactly 10M used - $0 remaining  8)

I know this team won't survive to Round 1, but I can't see the structure changing too much at this stage (which means SFA really considering how much will happen over the next few months  :P)

bringing in bennell in fwds allows you bat deep in mids.   great first up team RD.

I agree! I love reflecting back to see whether I've gotten carried away with the JLT hype on a bloke or whether I rated him initially etc. There are a few legit changes that are made over the preseason for various reasons, then others that are more questionable and rarely pay off. Nice to try to catch them before getting burned!

My team will be similar to this.
Lots of premos I like.

Ringo

Like the team RD and something to consider 7 of your premiums will have the Rd 15 bye. just started my usual initial bye observations. You will not be alone though as Rd 15 will be a killer for most at the moment as well.

Presto

Excellent team - just get in Barlow and all good

You can only dream of starting a midfield that strong but yep a starting point

The fact that you have a midfield that strong and can still make your other lines look solid is great. good job.

Considering this thread was the very last in this section, I guess it was time that I logged back into SC and played around with things  ;D

I actually don't mind the 1st team I have above still, but with this 2nd version I have now taken byes into consideration for the keepers, and I've also made a few prem changes too

I've decided to drop my mega stacked midfield and Dusty has made way (due to price and his bye) which has allowed me to bring more balance to the backline. I don't like the idea of having 3 250-300k players so I got rid of Birchall who is still dealing with knee problems and I've bought in Griff instead. By all reports Griff and Christensen have had injury free preseasons so they get the nod.

NN has also had an interrupted preseason so I ended up going with Sauce simply because of his bye, even though it doesn't excite me lol. Other than that I've switched Yeo to Hurley, Billings to Dahl and Hibberd comes in as a 4th prem defender

At this stage I'm really comfortable with this side and I would say that only Heeney (due to health) and Dahl are the two players that are not entirely locked and could be changed

We all know R14 is going to be the worst bye, so I think I've done well to balance it as well as I can for now. I've got 6 keepers missing already, but they do spread across all 4 lines which means I should be able to field 18+ still

R10: Hanley
R12: Titch, Cripps, Dahl
R13: Gawn, Hurley, Hibberd, Lobb
R14: Danger, Crouch, Fyfe, Jacobs, Heeney, Laird

really good team as always RD.

Hanley with the round 10 bye is a concern but he is a real good chance to go 95+ and if he does he is worth the pick.

love the midfield and think Griffin is a really good pick and a good chance to push a 90 avergae.

rucks are standard for FF but will be better than most of the comp who are choosing Nic Nat

if Lobb is the number 1 ruck which is looking likely you have a really good forward line as well.

Ringo

Nice team RD and am looking at similar structure with playing around with a few options.

Is cash the reason that you have not selected high priced rookies or is that a deliberate ploy as Dow and LDU look definite starters for Rd1. Not sure on Rayner though.

RaisyDaisy

Thanks fellas :)

Ringo, I never start expensive rookies

I think Mills and Cockatoo are the only two I ever have, and they both didn't work out. I was forced to select them due to no other options being available so as long they are available I will always go with the cheap rookies

I prefer to go with the cheaper guys, and to use the cash saved elsewhere allowing me to do so in the first place
