Another disappointing week saved with Gawn as C.

1 definite trade this week Venables to Guelfi.

Dilemma with 2nd trade and depending on teams named.
Forwards issue with Buddy out. Do I trade Buddy to Heeney as heel injuries could linger and play Guelfi with Henry and Fritsch  on bench.
Other options are
Garlett to Higgins although trade only nets 80k. Garlett is nearing ceiling though with a B/e of 32.
Naughton to Mirra or
or sit if Fritsch named with Guelfi covering Buddy and Henry e

I'd be going Naughton to Mirra, pocket 150k and go Venables to Guelfi and pocket another 55k.

$250k to use next week (if Buddy out again would be swinging McLean forward and be grabbing Danger), and possibly trading Christensen (around $370k) so should have 500k to bring in a forward premium (Toby Greene?)

Maybe go Garlett --> Mirra via Finlayson instead now that Garlett has been dropped. Gets that extra price rise out of Naughton.

Was on track for a reasonable score till Walters injury. Dusty as C was also a wrong move.

Unless other matters come up when teams announced these are the trades I am doing:

Walters to Heeney is a definite trade 1

If Buddy still out really considering Buddy to Treloar. Treloars bye suits better as both other options Danger and Treloar have the Rd 14 bye. Both Danger and Crouch have high B/e as well so will sit on them. Treloar on the other has bottomed out last week and seems to be an integral part of Pies resurgence and playing Brisbane this week who he averages 140 against so now is the time to grab him if I want him as his B/e is 75 and predicted to rise another 40k.

If I do both these trades leaves me 76k so should be able to downgrade a rookie Garlett to Spargo and upgrade Bundy  to perhaps his team mate Mitch Robinson.

If Buddy plays then a decision on what Rookie to downgrade.

Robbo seems to be our new in and under guy and force in the mids, He is picking up the slack cuased with Rockys departure and leading the likes of Clug and Berry. Suspension because of his aggression is my only real concern. Lifted his average this year and with Zorkos loss of form and Beams seemingly playing on the outside at the moment can see that being maintained.
Robbo really settled up here as well. Have had a couple of chats with him as well and real nice guy.

Walters to Heeney a sound trade. Not sure on Treloar, he did this last year around the same time before going back to a 95-100 average. Was a massive disappointment (I had him from the start last year and he ended up on my bench).

Would definitely go Macrae or Oliver instead.

May have to re-assess depending on teams though as you said.

Yeah I don't trust Treloar. Adams back may affect him too.

Thanks guys and hope it does not bite me as I did the rookie mistake of doing trades yesterday early and then got held up and could not reverse before lock out.  When will I convince myself SC is a rolling lock out and trades can be done any time up till relative match lockouts.
Walters to Heeney and Buddy to Treloar done.
Cripps was considered but was concerned with Murphy out he may get more attention
Macrae an option but already had Mitchell and Bont with the same bye.
Oliver was the other that was considered and on watch list as price is still falling.

With my calculations will still have possible 5 luxury/injury trades so could use one on Treloar if need be.

Reasonably happy with the Rd but for a few rookie mistakes could have been better.

What to do this week.

Learnt from last week wait till team announcements before committing trades (could have done Buddy to macrae with Bont out but Treloar was acceptable)
Injury concerns with Bont and Savage.
Banfield to Spargo will be one increasing cash to $232k

2nd Trade will await team announcements but following options in play:
Garlett to Mutch for extra cash.
Finlayson to Yeo but would depend on Mirra or Murphy being named to have e as well as Savage being named,
Holman to JPK. assuming Bont named
Bont to Macrae if Bont not named.
Bundy to Robbo/Sicily
Whilst not ideal to get that defence coverage one of Mirra/Murphy to Appleby, Not really preferred but structure may dictate.

Starting to prepare for Byes and this is keeper structure at the moment and assuming Kelly and Doedee keepers atm.

Rd 10 Westhoff
Rd 12 Titchell, McLean and Bont
Rd 13 Hurley, Treloar, Coniglio, Gawn, Stef Martin, Devon Smith, Bundy
Rd 14 Laird, Savage, Fyfe, Dusty, Heeney, (Kelly and Doedee although these may be OK to upgrade here)

So need to look at trading and looking at Gray after Rd 10 bye and some Rd 12 bye players to trade in.
