Fwds - Am I mad with all the concerns about top forwards thinking of changing Franklin to Devon Smith and keeping the 100k to adjust rookies or upgrade Lobb of not sole ruck?

Reasoning think forwards will be a lottery this year so happy to carry risks on that line till we see who Top forwards will be.

Ringo

With the doubts surrounding fitness of a few players have revamped my team.  Some players may find their way back in if they perform at JLT level.  Not considering AFLX as in my opinion not a lot to learn from it.

Looked to keep the structure to 2 playing rookies each line.  Rookies not set in stone and will no doubt change.

Again realise forward structure is a little weak but have deliberately gone that way as we wait to see which forawrds rise to the top. Gunston, McLean, Petracca and Bundy can all go 80+ so happy if they do that early.

Bye Keepers?
Rd 12  - Mitchell. Cripps, Gunston, McLean
Rd 13 - Hurley, Shaw, Brayshaw, Beams, Gawn, Petraaca, Christensen
Rd 14 - Roberton, Danger, Crouch, Fyfe, Jacobs
Rd 13 an issue so may swap some prems when finalising team and not all may be keepers.

I am toying around with the cheaper forward line as well with questions marks on pretty much all of the top 10 forwards.

I really like this team with some nice pods.

I just can't trust shaw after last season and would be really wanting him to turn into Laird/Hibberd. Apart from that I like the team.

I like it, elements of both superstars and real value pods. Not sold on Gunston as a forward, but i can't judge since im all over Jeremy Cameron this year! Love Shaw and Crouch. Depending on the progress of Adam Kennedy from ACL i feel Shaw will return to his 2016 role.

Ringo

Could not help myself making a few minor adjustments so sitting on this.  Concern with Hurleys injury so he has become Simpson and Gunston has become Walters.

Still not 100% settled on forward line so may be more adjustments: (Bundy set in stone though).
If required thinking these:
Brayshaw to Birchall
Bont to Cripps
Shaw to Hibberd.
If Heeney or Billings show form in JLT one may find way in as well.

Rookies place holders and no doubt team will change when playing rookies become obvious. May have to change from 6 prem mids to accommodate especially if we have a number of playing mid rookies making cash.

Southstorm

Bont to Cripps is a safe option; I'm a huge fan of Bont but I suspect he might spend a little more time forward than what we'd like given the departure of Stringer and Cloke, particularly if Schache doesn't fire.

I'm not a huge fan of Shaw but can see the reasoning behind the selection so back your gut. Think Walters is to valuable for us up front and will be yo-yo - if Bennell somehow gets up it may free him up more to make it worthwhile. Maybe a tad to strong in the midfield and lacking Laird/Heeney otherwise it's a well balanced and structured team with a couple of calculated risks that could pay off nicely.

Fremantle recruited Matera to fill the small forward role, Walters had 10 consecutive matches in the middle before getting injured. 49% midfield time over that period, averaged 111 and was in All-Australian form. I'm all in this year, has been training with the mids too.

Laird/Heeney both with the dreaded Rd 14 bye, Hence why I have gone with other options but one may find my way into team though if I replace Jacobs with Goldy,

Hey Ringo love your team. Cant seem to see Zorko in it though! Brayshaw probably isnt worth picking due to his concussion issues. Just wondering what your expecting Roberton to average? i had him last season and was quite a good pick up, however seemed to have slowed down at the end of the year

Think Zorko is a little overpriced (just my opinion though) and with teams knowing he can not handle a tag at the moment may put work into him.  Beams in my opinion is the much better of the 2 and will average about the same. Could be a straight swap though if Beams gets an injury. Could not fit both in due to structure set up for byes.
Brayshaw is one of the [layers whose position is shaky.
Roberton I expect to maintain a 90 - 95 average. His 2015 and 2017 seasons were similar with a slackening off in later rounds.

Simpson and O'Shea or Sicily and Birchall as D3 and 4?

Money Shot

This team with a lot of players who had a breakout midway through last season and therefore are underpriced for what they produce is looking really good if they continue there form. However there is a bit of risk involved but you need to risk it for the biscuit.

Walters is someone I really want in my teams and the point you raise about Matera is very vaild. Think Walters has the ability to be the number one forward but think the top 7-10 mark is more realistic. Laird, Danger, Martin, Crouch, Fyfe (Jacobs maybe), Heeney, Billings who have the same bye I want more which is turning me off him for now.

SilverLion

No Laird/Hibberd/Hurley makes the backs look just a tad weak IMO. Would be a risk to not start any of them.
