no yeo or touhy for me.    sure yeo will be available later at better price,  prefer simmo, williams to touhy
otherwise love the team ringo.    Jacob and Gawn is a smart selection.

Ringo

Thanks Crowls, Considered Williams instead of Yeo and still may go that way. Got a gut feeling on Tuohy though with Mackie and Lonergan retiring so he will stay.

Fair point somebody has to do the work down there.  Zac did look good last year so could pay off for you.  Just not a proven enough scorer for my liking.

Peter

Had Tuohy all last year and a bit of a bumpy ride towards the end as teams tagged him. Still great value though

Yeah he is pretty well priced, but can't see him finishing in the top 10, would be the type of guy you'd bring in mid year if he seems like he will average 95+.

Ringo

Still playing around with defence and injury to Williams really brings Heather back into consideration despite age. Has a friendly Rd 13 bye as well.

This now becomes a personal nightmare for me Ringo.
Heater is well and truly on my never again list. Wilson now at Freo, Williams, (who was in my squad), now injured.
I can now see Heath Shaw pulling out a few 100's in the JLT series just to tease us a little more.

I just don't think I can go there again mate. Heater on the field scoring 50's while Witherden on the pine scoring 100's hurt way too much in 2017. We just have to find someone else.

FWIW: I'm looking at Brandon Ellis at D3.

Simpson has averaged 90+ for the last decade and costs $100 more :)

Ringo

Looking at Hurley, Hibberd, Ellis and Rich for 2 positions with Hanley at D3 at the moment.

Hurley  - 28 lifted his average to 102 last year and will still be an integral part of Essendon's defence.

Hibberd - 28 Lifted his average by 17 points per game. Need to watch the Lever effect on him during JLT.

Rich - 28 Very durable only missing 2 games over last 3 seasons.  Taken a couple of years to get over his leg injury and averaged 112 over the last 5 rounds. Need to watch his role as well in JLT.

Ellis - 25 Durablity no games missed over the last 4 seasons. Bye the issue with a number of others with Rd 14 bye.

Others that may come into consideration Laird (Bye issue again), Simpson (Age factor and emergence of youngsters) Yeo looking at role in JLT as well.

I think the Dons are going the right way with their recruitment and development, so Hurley definitely worth considering.

Ellis always has a chance to get a burst in the midfield but he played his best footy last year running off the halfback line so that'll probably stick. Think he has some improvement in him too.

Don't rate Rich, and I don't think BL have improved the list over the off season so he isn't kicking to much in the midfield.

Team following opening of supercoach. With the change in SC Layout picture a little smaller. Reasonably happy to sit on this team but will probably have to retweak with only 5k left when we see playing rookies. Have got some high priced rookies to try and counter.

Possible adjustments at a later date if cash an issue Jacobs to Nat and Bont/Beams down as well or maybe Danger down.

Def: Hibberd and Hurley keepers. Hanley should improve in Suns out fit this year and allow upgrade in Rd 10 bye if need be.

Mids: Gone with 6 higher scoring mids initially here as a M6 scoring 100+ much better than a D3 or F3 scoring 90s. My opinion but may go back to 5 if need be to strengthen other lines.

Rucks - Set and forget

Fwds: Realise weak here but hard to see stand out 100+ forwards so taking my risk here. McLean averaged 94 for last 12 games so he is there, hoping he can average 90+. Waiting to see if someone stand outs early for maybe first upgrade.

Bye Structure with keepers out.
Rd 10 3  Keeper Hanley?
Rd 12 7  Keepers Mitchell, Bont McLean?
Rd 13 11 Keepers Hurley, Hibberd, Beams, Gawn, Christensen?
Rd 14  9 Keepers  Danger, Martin, Fyfe, Jacobs
So can work with this as well.

Money Shot

If 5 defender rookies get up (Which is looking likely) your backline looks good as it allows you to strengthen your other lines.

One of the strongest midfields ive seen with 6 potential top 10 mids.

love the rucks with the no Nic Nat risk.

McLean and Lobb should both go 90+ with Christensen making some money.

Really rate this team and like that it isn't as cookie cutter as others (and mine i guess :()

Nice side. Like the Bont and Beams picks, think they'll both be good pods. As MS said, if 5 defender rookies get up this'll be a great team :)

Ringo

A possible another structure which I like in that only relying on 2 playing rookies each line.

Different forward line but can adjust if Lobb not sole ruck at GWS. Franklin will still be in Top 5 forwards in my opinion so why not start with him. Gunston is my POD as I think he will get back to 2016 form,

Byes very good as well. So just wait and see. Reason why Hurley picked over Laird.

Money Shot

Like the defence. Roberton as a pod looks the goods.

Midfield is pretty rock solid as well. If Griffen gets games he will average 80 minimum which would be a great return at his price.

Rucks are standard for Fan Footy but will be the rest of the comp.

Franklin should be top 10 this season so can't fault you starting him. Gunston is a good pod because he is every chance to be top 10 as well. Lobb as number one ruck is a good pick and from all reports Bundy is killing it.
