Great team with some really nice players of difference.

I know rookies are place holders but is there a reason that you haven't selected Rayner?
Mainly $ at this stage using low priced rookies and money in bank as a balancing act for rookies later on when we know who is likely rd 1. Could be in the team but I suspect he will not be in our team Rd 1 with Keays, Barret and Beastmode also vying.

Sabretooth Tigers

 :)

Tuohy, Beams and Dahl nice POD's.  3/6/2/3 structure and probably 14 keepers for another very nice team. Can't find any updates on the H Wigg injury, have you heard anything mate ? Cheers and best of luck.

;)

Peter

Like Beams and Cripps over Treloar in SC - had Tuohy from the start last season and had a good season with plenty of regular points, the way Geelong play

Played around a bit with side to see what a team with 6 prem mids would look like. $32k cash remaining,

Defence as we know is a lottery every year so have gone for 2 mid pricers in Tuohy and Hanley.
Think Hanley will improve as he will take up a bit of the slack in Suns midfield. With Lynch stating that performance on field this year will be basis of decision on contract expect a lot of improvement in mids as well.
Touhy may surprise but expect him to improve his average to 90/95 especially with departure of Mackie and Lonergan. He will slot in and get those intercept marks as well.
Birchall will be observed during JLT and if need be can downgrade if definite rookie starters evolve.

Mids: Only risks maybe Beams and Cripps.  Beams is training strongly and will start contact work if not this week then after Christmas Break.
Cripps will take over Gibbs role in my opinion and will lift output.

Rucks: Have gone for a set and forget in Gawn and Jacobs. These may change based on JLT form. Nic Nat will be monitored as well and may come into calculations. Olango picked as the floating ruck donut with Eagles having 12 Sunday games so perfect option.

Forwards: This is where there will be arguments and where team will probably change. Dahlhaus I think will improve as will all dogs in my opinion with the pressure of defending Premiers removed, Lobb will be an automatic choice if as expected he becomes Giants sole ruck. Christensen is there for the moment but Bennell and AhChee may come into consideration with JLT Form.

Rookie are place holders until we see which may start Rd 1.

This maybe sitting team for a while now. Pull it apart but we can not have all cookie cutter teams.

Have got Premium Bye Structure as follows:

Premiun Bye Structure
Rd 10 1 - Hanley
Rd 12 5 - Cripps, Mitchell, Yeo, Natanui (changed from Jacobs due to byes) Dahlhaus or McLean. Add Birchall if he is performing.
Rd 13 3 - Beams, Lobb, Gawn and add Christensen if performing,
Rd 14 5 - Fyfe, Tuohy, Danger, Martin, Billings.

Thinking that is very manageable.

I like your side Ringo, gee Christensen is due for some change of luck

Peter

Yep, 5/3/5 looking good. See how Hanley goes in JLT and impact of missing a R10 premium

Indeed, people forget how good he was at Geelong.

Peter

Lets hope so as has tough draw early on, but if gets good SC points from those games, will see decent price rise.

With the injury update on Birchall have revamped my team.  Have used some of the higher priced rookies for maneuverability when we know who will be playing or not and are place holders.

Plan B is to downgrade Beams if required to get some cash and adjust. Also have $30k in bank.

Bye Premiums
RD 10 Hanley
Rd 12 Yeo, Mitchell, McLean
Rd 13 Beams, Merrett, Lobb, Gawn and Maybe Christensen if going well. Consider Lobb a Keeper especially if he is sole ruck.
Rd 14 Jacobs, Fyfe, Tuohy, Danger, Martin, Billings

Think I can work with this

Defence:
Defence is a lottery each year as we know so here is the explanation for the prem picks.
Yeo depends on role but if he can maintain 102 average will do me.
Tuohy expect him to increase average to around 95 picking up some of the slack with the retirements of Mackie and Lonergan.
Hanley a guts pick as he will be required to do a lot of work in the mids as well. Averaged 100 over last 5 games so would be happy with 100 again,
Just hoping to get 3/4 rookies playing each week from Rd 1.

Mids:
Danger, Martin and Mitchell self explanatory.
Merrett - Picked because of favourable bye and the fact that he has only missed 1 game over the last 2 years whilst averaging 110. (Only 6 scores below 90 in that period as well).
Fyfe - Will be in most teams and enough said.
Beams - Training well at the moment and done most of the pre-season drills as well so if he remains healthy will average 110+. Leads by example as well.

Rucks:
Using set and forget here
Gawn - Underpriced for what he is capable of.
Jacobs - Rd 14 an issue for me but the option I like as he has only missed 4 games in the last 6 years and showing signs of returning to 2015 form.
R3 Olongo picked due to the fact that Eagles have 12 Sunday games so very good for loopholing.  If injury occurs will just replace.

Forwards:
As with defence nice lottery here.
Billings - Think he can average 100 if he continues improvement
McLean - May be seen as a speculative pick but if his role remains the same as last half the season where he averaged 94 from byes will do me.
Lobb - Like most picking him being Sole ruck at GWS and will score well above his 74 pricing.
Christensen - Training soundly and itching to get back on field, May or may not be a keeper depending on form and will part of a Brisbane small forward set up with Taylor, Cameron and Zorko.

Feel this is a sound team now to sit on until JLT or the usual injury comes along. Basically a guns and rookie team,

I think you can have your membership revoked for this Ringo.  :P

Richards at D4 :o

Apart from that it is a good team and I am a huge fan.

Nice team Ringo.
Thoughtful selections.
McLean is an interesting selection who I just don't know about.
I was contemplating Hanley for a while too but have decided to avoid all Port/ GC players till the bye... will assess them as upgrades considering price and form before R12.
I know all rookies are placeholders but Keeffe is one I don't really want to see if I get Lobb, like you intend to at this stage, as he is slated to offer back up ruck cover. Would be nice from a defensive rookie perspective but may work against Lobb as sole ruck.

SilverLion

Nice squad, only concern is perhaps the Touhy selection, don't see him as a top 10 def, but thats just my opinion.

Love the Sauce/Gawn rucks, thinking of starting them myself.

shaker

I like Yeo have him myself but he is still not 100% after his offseason surgery have to keep an eye on him your mids very strong you may have to cull one as you have said and inject a bit more cash in the backs or especially the forwards with Lobb still not in full training but nice balance in the team

Peter

Showing your Lions colours with Beams, but fair enough over Cripps and Merrett over 4th Def or Fwd.

Good luck!
