Great looking side mate. I for one am sold on Hanley at this stage anyways has the potential to be a top 5 defender and although he may have a poor draw he managed to average 103.8 in a team that won just 7-8 games from memory.

Jack Graham is the only pick im not sold on but he can easily be upgraded/downgraded so no biggie there.

great side.

Ringo

Made a couple of changes and basically now a guns and rookes side with exception of Hanley and Barlow.  Consider Birchill and Christensen still at upper rookie price.
Like this structure with 6 prem mids
Only downside $25k left,

best team yet. I personally think Barlow and Hanley classify as premium picks anyways.

Another good team Ringo.    When I look at defense it seems just as much risk is associated with anyone over 500k as Hanley. Definitely worth starting him, if he plays consistently then mid 90 should be a good result.
Bennell to me is better value than Christensen.  More upside and same downside.    Though I have gone Lobb in f4 as unless injury strikes he is going to be low 90's to 100+ scorer.

Bennell/Christensen will be the pick based on JLT form. decided too much risk with both so one to be picked.

Ringo, do me a favor around rnd 3 or 5 and remind me to keep Barlow in my team.    Last time he started in the fwds I traded him out and then bloody Lyon gave him mid time.    At least in GCS he will be mid player and end up between 90-100 so a keeper.

You expecting Dusty to continue on his merry way? I do but atm i am not comfortable with 650plus for him.  When he will definitely drop price and be available in 550-600k around first byes.

Great team Ringo maybe a bit of Mitchell in the mids he proved a ball pig this year think he can only get better but good base to start on  :)

Team looks great Ringo. Bit of Risk/Reward with Hanley, Beams, Barlow. Personally, I'd stay away from Treloar, had him from start to finish last year and was a rollercoaster. Just curious, whats the reasoning with Hanley? He seems to be a popular pick in many people's first drafts.

Has the potential to be the highest scoring defender come seasons end. Has averaged 100+ in previous seasons and had a really good end to last year. Currently not in my side but i am really considering him.

Also with departure of Suns mids he will run through midfield as well . So expect 90+ average which will be OK for a defender,  As we know defenders have been hit and miss in previous years and the least productive line. Think Hanley at his value worth the risk.

Hmmm thanks guys you've given me something to consider. Though he does have the Rd 10 bye which makes selecting him tougher. Though with the lack of standout choices down back this year, it looks like he'll be in the mix.

I dont mind the picking port or suns players.   Just cannot afford to have more than 2 total.  Takes the pressure of other bye rounds.

Yep agree - Only 2 max atm Barlow and Hanley - A few on the watch list for after the bye though.

Ringo

Played around a bit with side to see what a team with 6 prem mids would look like. $32k cash remaining,

Defence as we know is a lottery every year so have gone for 2 mid pricers in Tuohy and Hanley.
Think Hanley will improve as he will take up a bit of the slack in Suns midfield. With Lynch stating that performance on field this year will be basis of decision on contract expect a lot of improvement in mids as well.
Touhy may surprise but expect him to improve his average to 90/95 especially with departure of Mackie and Lonergan. He will slot in and get those intercept marks as well.
Birchall will be observed during JLT and if need be can downgrade if definite rookie starters evolve.

Mids: Only risks maybe Beams and Cripps.  Beams is training strongly and will start contact work if not this week then after Christmas Break.
Cripps will take over Gibbs role in my opinion and will lift output.

Rucks: Have gone for a set and forget in Gawn and Jacobs. These may change based on JLT form. Nic Nat will be monitored as well and may come into calculations. Olango picked as the floating ruck donut with Eagles having 12 Sunday games so perfect option.

Forwards: This is where there will be arguments and where team will probably change. Dahlhaus I think will improve as will all dogs in my opinion with the pressure of defending Premiers removed, Lobb will be an automatic choice if as expected he becomes Giants sole ruck. Christensen is there for the moment but Bennell and AhChee may come into consideration with JLT Form.

Rookie are place holders until we see which may start Rd 1.

This maybe sitting team for a while now. Pull it apart but we can not have all cookie cutter teams.

Money Shot

Great team with some really nice players of difference.

I know rookies are place holders but is there a reason that you haven't selected Rayner?
