You would think these blokes would get all the dumb stuff out of the way in the off season not right before games start

"Luckless St Kilda midfielder Nathan Freeman has suffered yet another injury blow, tearing his hamstring at training on Friday.

St Kilda coach Alan Richardon had recently said that the top-10 draft pick was firming to play in round one.The Saints are expected to publicly confirm the news later on Wednesday."

St Kilda confirmation: http://www.saints.com.au/news/2018-02-21/setback-for-freeman

“Friday’s injury, while relatively minor, suggests there could be an underlying issue with scar tissue that is preventing him from reaching his full capacity.

“Nathan will consult a specialist this week, but regardless of whether surgery is the preferred option, the recovery period is expected to be the same as a conventional rehab program.

“It’s hoped he will only miss a few weeks of work on the track, where after he can then find a level of continuity with training and playing games that creates a platform to push for AFL selection.”

And this for those considering Hanners:

Longmire on Hannebery: He will be touch and go for the start of the season. It is about making sure he is right for the majority of the season rather than Round 1 at this stage.

He got a little closer to actually playing a JLT game this year. Maybe next year. Incredibly unlucky though, reminds me a bit of Morabito.

Now if Freeman went out on the turps and played up, I could totally understand.

Makes that decision easy
Honestly, I was really hoping people picked him just to laugh later.

Willie Rioli (knock to the knee) - Injured in AFL X, will not play in JLT 1

Confirmation on Riolis injury so may be another to strike off.  Rookies starting to go down.

And another rookie bites the dust.

Jack Petruccelle (Finger) - Injured in AFL X, in rehab for 4-5 weeks prior to being able to fully train

SEN also said Nicnat was definitely out & then the next day there's an AFL.com article stating he's on track. In any case I'll grab Bonner instead.

The Age has confirmed Birch is out, just gotta hope Bonner is good to go.

Brayshaw a bit more expensive, think I will stick with Bonner. Reckon he's good for 75.
