Not an injury but De Goey has been caught drink driving nearly twice the limit maybe all the talk of an attitude problem are more serious than I thought , currently have him at F3 , could be another club suspension for him
Pies need to sack this clown and give a young bloke who actually wants to play at the elite level a go
You would have to be furious with him as a Pies supporter the last thing they needed

Did he blame his dog?

How hard is it to grab a taxi/uber home and pick up your car the next day

I'm pretty sure if he rang Bucks or Ed and said "I'm drunk and have no way of getting home", something would be sorted haha

It's not like footballers can't afford taxi/uber and pretty sure being back in full training that he was probably not supposed to be on the piss they will be furious with him club imposed ban?

Funny enough, that's roughly what I think will happen. Very likely they'll be soft on him imo.

I'm expecting atleast 6 weeks. He had a ban last year and blowing nearly double the alcohol limit is pretty serious so they won't go that light on him

harbrow got 2 blowing alot more than him and hodge got none and im pretty sure it wasnt his first time either? cant be 100% sure but one would assume haha

Nige

Yeah, I tend to agree that given he already had the one issue last year and copped a suspension for it, they'll probably look to be as harsh, if not harsher.

Gigantor

Apparently he is/was still on his P's, so from a legal point of view he is extra screwed

For those who are interested in the De Goey situation.

QuoteAfter a series of meetings between Collingwood and Jordan De Goey on Monday, it has been agreed that Jordan will remain a senior listed Collingwood player on the following terms:

- Jordan will not drink alcohol at least until the season’s end, when this decision will be reviewed.

- Jordan has made a commitment to enlist the assistance of medical professionals to help him improve his decision making.

- Jordan has agreed to make significant changes to his social life and associations, a pledge the club supports and will monitor.

In relation to Jordan’s drink driving conviction last Saturday evening, it has been agreed that the following will also apply:

- An indefinite suspension from AFL selection. When Jordan has convinced his peers and coaches that meaningful change has occurred, and that his standards have risen to those of the group, he will become available for selection.

- A fine of $10,000. Jordan has also offered to make a further $10,000 donation to a charity, a gesture the club acknowledges and supports.

- Jordan will be required to undertake employment away from the club for a period of not less than four weeks. During this time he will train in the evenings with the Collingwood VFL squad.

- Jordan will take on a meaningful role with a charitable organisation, a position that will be monitored by the club.

All of the above were agreed to after meetings between Jordan and the Collingwood leadership group and Jordan, his manager, and senior club officials.

Sounds impressive what are the chances he has convinced everyone he has changed in about one months time  ;D
