Speculation a hamstring strain so hopefully may not miss but if more than a strain could miss Rd 1.

Even the most minor hamstring tweaks these days generally are 2-3 week injuries.

I doubt Geelong will take any risks with him.

its not just your simple swap. You gain 150k on a downgrade and it flowers with you where you put, structure takes a turn

Me too, and I actually hope he misses because I can confidently go in with the mid priced mids I want to start and use one of them to get Danger somewhat easier later

If he only misses round 1 I think I’ll just bench him for one week. Make up the points across the first 10-12 rounds with him as captain.
A lot of people will jump off. Also he won’t be the easiest player to bring back into your side, only 6 games below 100 in the last 2 years and 2 of those were 99’s. Can’t see him fluctuating in price enough for people to bring him in earlier than the bye rounds if they don’t start him.

It would definitely be a big risk! I’ll have my ears to the ground, much like everyone else, over the next few days and see what comes out of Geelong town.

If it came down to the crunch and I got cold feet I would be comfortable swapping him for a Parker, Duncan or Selwood.
