The only rookie that will help me out this week and the rest of the byes is Brodie who has played the 1 one game , not ideal might just have to suck up playing with 13 or 14 this week and save the trades till next week ...... Heron not an option I would do.

Thinking one of the Gold Coast boys could be worth grabbing to (hopefully) save the day.

Check out their injury list - Barlow, Fiorini, Hall, Hanley, May plus others all out 4+ weeks, surely the likes of Brodie, Heron and even Charlie Ballard (MID/FWD) get a decent run at it now that the season is long over.

Ballard actually interests me a little, his DPP is very handy, and has played the last 4 games. Scoring has been quite ordinary, but would only end up at M11/F8 in a full side.

I've actually considered Moore - 60 and 68 not bad, but JS is the worry however I feel like he might get a few more games?

With Chol injured I'd say his JS is ok, the only guy who could dislodge him is Balta.

or they could choose to get rid of a tallish player and replace with a small, theyve got plenty of them, and theyve done that before :P

If you don't mind going early on a downgrade then the big Ape is a legit option. A little bit pricey at 153k, but should be good for 70+ this week if he spends the majority of his time in the ruck (as he did last week). When Sandi comes back he'll probably average 50 but Ross wants to get some continuity into him so his long-term JS should be very solid.

I reckon this is right. I think he's getting a run for development, and Dimma knows Townsend can play on the big stage.

Even though he looks alright, I'd give him a miss.

Richmond is moving on from the 5 small, 1 tall set-up. It was never sustainable indefinitely, at the moment Moore, Chol & Balta are vying for a long term position. Chol is out injured & Balta is still serving his apprenticeship. My take on the situation is Richmond don't want a burnout situation similar to Maric, Nankervis is already showing a few signs of wear & tear. All three guys will get time on the ball, the club also realises Grigg isn't answer. As a case in point Naitanui destroyed Richmond when Nank was benched. If we're any chance of going back to back then this needs to be addressed.
