Carlisle out for 2 weeks makes it tough to get a read on Rice and Austins JS, might take the punt on Smith and hope he keeps his spot until after the byes

One of rice or austin goes out when brown comes back i assume
The thing is Rice and Austin are the future. Brown is a great clubman and negator but he is old school. Footy has moved on from his type. Austin is his replacement but the Tigers game with the mozzie fleet didn't really give us an accurate read on him as there was no true match up for him. With Reiwoldt KO'd that situation was even made worse.
The Saints season is shot and the kids should get a decent crack at it. Brown will likely be out the door at season's end and it doesn't make sense to keep playing him over any of Austin, Coffield, Clark or Rice.
That said, Richo and the brains trust keep playing Billings and persisted with Armo when it bleeding obvious he is done so I'm not holding my breath.
Play the kids Saints!

Yeah billings needs a run in the 2's i beieve

Sounds like you need RTB to return to the club NZ

It sounds like Liam Ryan could be a legitimate downgrade option. Still only 194k with a -87 breakeven.

Apparently back in full skills training and is "flying around the track". Currently in the mix for Round 13 against Sydney after his Round 12 bye.

Awesome effort mate. I would have liked to but with a multitude of rookie fwds plus Keefffe who wasn't getting a game early on and Olango as another non-scorer I needed to make sure I had cash generation as well as cover happening.

I doubt I'll bring him back now but when I traded him out I was open to the possibility. At 194k he's offering 70k less in the coffers opposed to a 123k rookie.

Speaking of 123k rookies.... TSmith simply has to come in this week at that price. If people pass him up they are crazy IMO. I'm not sure if everyone realises but he did play last year. He was quiet on debut/ spudded in fact but in his second game he amassed over 20 points in the first quarter before being injured at the very beginning of the second or end of the first Q... was shaping as another big game.... thankfully for us it wasn't as he is at a bargain basement price as a result.

Yeh would probably only consider if he was to come back after his bye

He wouldn’t be selected this week you wouldn’t think, so it could only be post-bye otherwise.

Ryan & Rourke Smith the possible R13 downgrade options as it currently stands. Giro too maybe, but he would still have his bye the week after.

If I don't have the cash to go Fritsch to McLean after round 12, I might downgrade to him Ryan, spend the money elsewhere and use him as a stepping stone to upgrade to McLean after the byes.

Bones Bombers

OK. Tim Smith is a must have.
What about Bailey Rice? Are we better off to double down and bring him in or is there someone else we can rely on next week?

Austin from saints scored 106 last week. Priced at 159K

Depending on what he scores this week could b a better option than rice.

Only other option wiuld b ridley from essendon JS should b better thanks to a couple of injuries at essendon this week

If Murphy sneaks another price rise would be a good trade in.

Wonder who he'll come in for? Collingwood's back 6 has been pretty set all year, but be perfect if he could string a few games together over the bye rounds
