Finlayson  ::) LOCK
Gee he looked the goods in defenseman, elite kicking and marking.
On the field for me at the moment.

Yep, looks very likely to play round 1 on the back of last night.

Happy to run 4 deep in defence now with Doedee and Finlayson at D5/D6.

Levi434

Can Finlayson be added to the poll pls?

To help people out here is the list of players that have played in the JLT so far that are priced under $250k. There are quite a lot of them. Im not adding scores or TOG on this as I don't believe they matter. It was more about the stat lines for me.

TOG% is very important when looking at rookies who have played in the preseason.

Ringo

Tend to agree with LS here . Look at stats line especially the D/E compared to stats as very few rookies have a high D/E initially.

I know I use it on my own sheet, this is just name for people, not all the detail. FYI I have a lot more data in my data set than just Score & TOG.

I can say for certain right now that there are 7 who played under 50% TOG that I still have as lock picks if named.

Lachlan Murphy (Def) is pushing hard for a round one gig. Played a solid game against Freo and the word is the coaching staff were thrilled with his game. A couple of injuries to players that were more likely to get the Charlie Cameron spot has opened up the door for Murphy to make that spot his. Scored well for 63% TOG, 3 goals helped 11 disposals 6 CP's. Kid goes ok.

He was one of the best last year for our SANFL team. Pretty sure he won the Dean Bailey award. Got a lot of time for him, can see him breaking in at some point

Played as a midfielder in the TAC, moved into defence last year, is built perfectly for the small forward role. Has better skills than Gallucci and im pretty sure he is ahead of him in the pecking order, but isn't as polished as Knight.

Knight should be out for 6-8 weeks which would mean missing the first 3-4 rounds, maybe a bit more if he takes a bit of time to get match fit. Question is can you pick a small forward in a top side who's JS will be very shaky maybe 1-2 weeks after his first price rise.

69 for a 3 goal game isn't that strong. Likely to average 45-50 IMO if he plays.

just need some bums on the bench, not overly fussed about scoring potential (but not Pickett poor)

True his JS is shakey at the minute. Hoping he can keep trending upwards and make it his to lose or hard for Knight to grab it when fit enough. 3 goals inflate his score agreed but only 63% TOG, he knows where the goals are couple here and there will help us and his avg.

+1 to that mate, if we don't get those bum's on benches in defence it's going to mess with team structures a bit by pulling dollars spent on everyone's midfield I suspect.

Definitely putting his hand up, even after his performance I didn't think he was a chance but looking at it closer now, I could definitely see him starting R1. Baring anymore injuries from now on, I personally think we have two spots up for grabs after, imo, Hampton and Doedee locked in their places on the weekend and I reckon it will be out of Murphy, Milera, Gibson, Mackay (throws up), and Seedsman, so like I said, potential to play is there but very shaky JS.

Grazz

Why do we persist with Mackay.  :'(

Is there a realistically a spot for him? Betts and Milera come in and he's the first out surely.
