Any further news on Wigg? He's the one that really determines how my rookie setup looks
This was quoted yesterday in local press in an article on Sam Day returning for AFLX.

"Dew now finds the squad in reasonably good shape, with only Harrison Wigg (broken ankle) and Callum Ah Chee (hand, hamstring) the two major concerns.

Dew said the continuity of the AFL club’s medical staff had contributed to the cleaner bill of health and he indicated he would take a safety-first approach to fitness to avoid another clogged casualty ward."

This paragraph may say it all and even if fit Wigg may not be included.

That's a shame. Will have to look elsewhere

Shouldn't have to look too far. Surely that helps Holman

Holman down to Wigg 6-8 rounds in would be beautiful

LDU has to play if fit. You're in a rebuild Brad...

At least RTB plays the kids

Words that were once not spoke.

Mantis

Seen coffield in a few teams, does he look to be a starter for the saints?

So now that some of these rookies got a kick in AFLX who do we now think are rookies that are a chance to line up Rd1?

I'm trying to figure out what structure my side will have, and it's not easy when you don't really know what rookies are likely to be available

Nige

Not sure if I'd be reading a hell of a lot into AFLX form in general, particularly for rookies.

Clubs will take JLT more seriously and the kids will have to contend with the blokes they're actually more likely to face in the season proper. If some of them have good outings in those games, it's probably a better indicator.

Super keen for Jordan Dawson to get a gig.  Tore the NEAFL apart last year.

Bully

Noah Balta shone like a beacon, has all the attributes to slot into Griffiths role. I'm considering him at R3.

Not a chance he plays round 1 but could come in at some stage

Just read about him in that SuperCoach article. Had never heard about him until then. Sound promising

R3 not necessarily for round 1 appearance, just cash at some stage. The only annoyance is Richmond play heaps of Friday games which means the loophole can't be used.

Yeah that makes things awkward

Good timing aha.  I was looking at him for most of the season as a downgrade after his bye but competition for spots was just too high.  Can play in the midfield and up forward.  Presumably would play as HFF if he lined up R1.

TBH the ALFX was a training run with little contested football. Wait until you see how the players go when a bit of pressure is put on.

Not probably news to most but think Zac Bailey may be ahead of Cam Rayner at this stage. If either get the nod though will probably start half forward.
