Chris Scott on the new recruits at the cats, Kelly and Fogarty. Sounds promising!

Fogarty has slipped under the radar a bit, not an excitement machine but does everything well enough. He's one junior I pencilled in as a certain 100 gamer.

More importantly there is a spot open.
We desperately need a few good smalls up forward, if the lad can tackle & pressure inside the 50 he is good bet for R1.

Tackle he can. Averaged a whopping 9.7 per game at TAC Cup level.

Just read article about GC Will Brodie on AFL site some positive stuff about him having a go at inside mid this year at $187700 sounds promising .

That's the one  ;)

Gigantor

Pretty sure 75% of all AFL players are getting increased midfield time at this time of the year :)

Haha! Does this line ring a bell..

"yeah I'm looking to put my hand up for some more midfield opportunity but I understand you have to be able to play a number of roles in today's footy"

- every player in the pre season

In saying that, I do like Brodie and have him in my side with LDU

Ringo

Expect Cam Rayner to play mainly forward with some stints in the middle.

For sure, ran an 11 beep which is in the bottom 10%, slowest beep ever recorded for a number 1 pick. My guess is Rayner will also be benched a lot, one to steer clear of this year.

LDU definitely consider, can see him being the pick of the rookies (excluding state leaguers).

As for Brodie, might be an inspired pick this year, showed enough last year.

11 in the beep?  :o I'd be shocked if any mid at local level couldn't run an 11 let alone an aspiring AFL footballer.
That's way off a midfielders numbers. Obviously would have improved a lot since training at Brisbane but think he will be 90% forward this year knowing that.

Ringo

Matt Eagles could be a sneaky one as well.  Really training the house down after his standout display in the NEAFL Final.  Not sure who he will push out though as he would be a tall and hard to see him displace McStay or Gardiner.

Really hope he gets a crack this year.

huh, well there you go.

I ran a 11 last yr and I'm 95kg and 37yrs old

I'll take Brodie and LDU over him, i def wouldn't have 3 priced that high
