Stay away from Brayshaw. Ross doesn't play kids
Ban Freo from the draft imo. Hoarding good young talent and then refusing to play them.

At least Andrew Brayshaw gets to live with Nat Fyfe while Ross doesn't play him for the first 4 years of his career.  :P

LUKE DAVIES-UNIACKE (North Melbourne)

Expected position: Mid

Expected price: $198,000

Arguably the draftee with the most AFL-ready game and body should walk straight into the Kangaroos line-up. The Dandenong product was ranked No.1 for disposal efficiency of all TAC Cup players to average more than 10 contested possessions. Expensive but with a SuperCoach friendly game and club.

JARROD GARLETT (Carlton)

Expected position: Mid-Fwd

Expected price: $117,300

“Mr Irrelevant”. The last pick in the draft but amazingly a former No.15 draft pick at Gold Coast in 2014. After quitting the Suns due to family reasons at the end of 2016, Garlett is ready to go around again following a strong season with South Fremantle. Averaged 34 and 56 in his two seasons and after missing only one year, his price may be higher than his draft pick suggests.

DOM BARRY (Port Adelaide)

Expected position: Mid-Fwd

Expected price: $117,300

Has already had a taste of AFL but stepped away for personal reasons. Still only 23, he gets another chance at Port Adelaide after impressing for Glenelg in the SANFL, averaging 21 disposals. Has blistering pace and should step straight into Jarman Impey’s shoes.

ZAC BAILEY (Brisbane Lions)

Expected position: Mid

Expected price: $148,000

Expect him to start as a small forward at AFL level, a role which isn’t always SuperCoach friendly. However, his speed and aggressive tackling should see him get plenty of opportunity at the rebuilding Lions. Definitely one to watch in the pre-season.

JAIDYN STEPHENSON (Collingwood)

Expected position: Mid-Fwd

Expected price: $193,000

His health concerns didn’t stop Collingwood drafting him and we don’t expect they’ll stop the Magpies from playing him. Averaged a huge 132 SuperCoach points for Vic Metro and put together 22 disposals and three goals in the under-18 All-Star Grand Final curtain-raiser. A line-breaking talent with strong endurance.

ANDREW BRAYSHAW (Fremantle)

Expected position: Mid

Expected price: $207,000

Scored 100 or more in every TAC Cup game this year for Sandringham Dragons and ranked No.1 for score assists. The Dockers’ list is in a state of flux and while he’ll be super expensive for a cash cow, we can be confident he’ll be given plenty of game time ... even if Ross Lyon is Ross Lyon.

DYLAN MOORE (Hawthorn)

Expected position: Mid-Fwd

Expected price: $117,300

Ranked No.9 pre-draft by Champion Data but taken No.67, making him a valuable cheap cash cow. Averaged 130 SuperCoach points in the TAC Cup for Eastern Ranges and 114 SuperCoach points for Vic Metro in the national championships. Hawthorn coach Alastair Clarkson isn’t afraid to play the youngsters.

HUNTER CLARK (St Kilda)

Expected position: Def-Mid

Expected price: $184,000

A stylish kick on both feet who averaged 129 SuperCoach points when playing midfield for Dandenong Stingrays. The Saints didn’t draft him No.7 for no reason. He’ll play for the get-go and hopefully with dual position eligibility will be a popular pick. Price could be an issue if he’s a midfielder only.

CHARLIE CONSTABLE (Geelong)

Expected position: Mid

Expected price: $123,900

Yes, Geelong’s midfield is stacked but Chris Scott likes complimenting his stars with youngsters. The Cats debuted eight in 2017, the second most of any club. At 190cm, Constable has the body to step into the AFL after averaging 120 in the TAC Cup finals and 121 at the under-18 national championships.

ED RICHARDS (W.Bulldogs)

Expected position: Def

Expected price: $144,000

Luke Beveridge isn’t afraid to give the kids a go and with Bob Murphy and Matthew Boyd retiring there’s a couple of spots open in the Dogs backline. Loves to run and attack with speed, which suits the Dogs gameplan. In the final six TAC Cup games with Oakleigh, the halfback averaged 17 disposals, seven handball receives and three tackles.

Nice! This is what I was after. Definitely a few there to keep an eye on

Never heard of him

DEF: Doedee, Clark (D/M), Paton, Richards, Murray
MID: LDU, Worpel, Venables, Dow, Wigg, Kelly, Cerra, Brayshaw, Stephenson (M/F) Freeman, Fritsch, Moore
RUC: Hayes
FWD: Higgins, Garlett, Fogarty, Ahern (F/M)

They'd be my early front runners for rookies. Mids are stacked considering the cheapies on offer too.

Ringo

With Schache, Close and Freeman all gone from Lions would not surprise if Ballandeen or Woolley get early games.

I'm sure last year was the 5th December. Haven't heard a word about it this year though or any leaks aside from Danger and Dusty not getting dpp

RaisyDaisy

Yeah you could be right

I just read that it's "Early December" so it might be Dec 5 or thereabouts actually

Haha exactly right. I like to study it and change it every day for months on end and then pick all the wrong players come round 1 anyway  ;D it's like a tradition

Sarcasm? you have argued that Lyon doesn't play ''kids who aren't ready yet'' in the past.
I am guessing sarcasm but funnily enough it wouldn't surprise me to see Brayshaw & Cerra in one week out the next
kind of bs all season.
