I thought Venables looked really good in the Eagles' last game. Very active and lively and Shuey said he expects him to get more midfield time as the season progresses.

I don't have him in my team but I'm considering bringing him in this week. My feeling is he'll keep his spot and looks like he'll have a breakout game sooner rather than later in my opinion. I don't have Liam Ryan either and although he had a great game last weekend, I feel he'll be a little hot and cold from game to game. Do you guys think Ryan is a must-have?

Ryan is the sort of guy you'd probably want on your bench, and loophole if possible

I think he is a must this week and I'm bringing him in myself because if he can just put up back to 60+ scores from here he should make a quick 150k which is gold

Okay, it didn't take much... but you've convinced me on getting Ryan this week RD. Cheers!

Was tossing up between Ryan and Taranto (I strongly believe Taranto will be a keeper and will end up a top-8 forward if he stays healthy).

Was going to do Hibberd to Cripps via Finlayson back to defence and underperforming Neal-Bullen to Taranto.

Might do Hibberd to Cripps and Neal-Bullen down to Ryan to make some cash. Would mean I'd have to field Ryan or Stephenson in my fwds though. The other alternative is I could give Neal-Bullen another chance and correct Fogarty (Crows) to Ryan for better cash generation.

Decisions, decisions...

Bones Bombers

Darcy Fogarty straight out for Tom Lynch. Bit tough for the young fella. He was very hard at it.

Would anyone consider Murphy over Ryan to bring in this week? Either would generally be on the bench, so would essentially mean the choice is starting on the field either an extra rookie defender (Murray) or forward (Venables/Ryan).

Murphy’s JS is perhaps better than we originally thought? Who are the risks to push him out? Hampton - plays a different role? Gibson - plays a different role and not even an emergency? Who else am I missing?

I still think Ryan has the better JS, unless you need the extra cash going Murphy.

I feel like Ryan will keep playing as long as his performing. Plenty of players knocking on the door at Adelaide, just have to hope he can kick a few goals each week.

An Adelaide supporter might be able to give a better opinion, but I reckon Ryan over Murphy.

Yeah Ryan over Murphy, not that Murphy is a bad option. Knight is back this week in the SANFL so Murphy could be in danger if he doesn't perform though.

Ingram

Brayshaw out for Ryan via Gartlett or ZGL? Probably means trading ZGL back in 4-5 weeks...

I picked Venables instead of Ryan fml :(

Menzel Washington

Is it worth trading out Naughton and Clark (don't know why I started him) for Murphy and L Fogarty? Or I could bring in Ryan and move Garlett to the mids...

Hunter to Ryan moving Garlett to mids for DPP

Hold Naughton I reckon

Is it a bad idea trading out ZGL for Ryan, with the intention of bringing ZGL back in when he is named in a months time?
Think we might be short on downgrade options in the forwards in future and I don't want to miss out on instant cash ie. Ryan now..

Good trade I think. No point carrying ZGL for a month - this is when we need to be generating funds

Agree, thanks RD.
Liam Ryan will be a rollercoaster but it only takes one big score to boost cash generation

I agree - ZGL will be a great downgrade option when he returns. If Ryan scores 77 he will Rise 74k so factor that in as well. Cash generation is important at this stage.

Should I bring in Ryan via Langdon .... or trade Keeffe to Ryan alllowing Langdon to be loopholed until he comes back which therefore saves me 2 potential trades from bring Langdon back in and out and moves Keeffe on for cash gen?
