Went the double down and grabbed both Ronke and Mutch this week

Just couldn't see too many better options coming up over the next couple of weeks

Early days, but glad I went this way

Having Ronke on field was the downside of doing the double down as opposed to one down one up, but that's turned out to be a blessing :)

You made the right decision backing in Ronke, so well done! However, this week is still probably a good example of how things often don't turn out as bad as we forecast.

Although there didn't seem to be any decent options on the horizon prior to R8, suddenly its looking like most people can jump on Ed Phillips early with a fair bit of confidence and Cumming could be another solid pick-up the following week if he backs it up.

The double downgrade certainly paid off in this instance no doubt, but I believe more often than not "one-up/one-down" tends to work out ok (and you avoid exposing yourself with one less premium on field - didn't matter in this case though with Ronke as you say :) )

It's situational

The appeal of the double down for me personally was because I wanted to double upgrade in the defence this week, and because there were no def rookies this week (Didn't want Eagles and need to see Cumming play two) I went with this approach because now I have the funds to bring in 2 def keepers

Next week I;ll do Holman to Phillips, and if Cumming looks good I can get him too, and the funds from those trades go towards bringing Gray in the following week

That's the plan anyway

Yeah fair enough, hope my comment didn’t come off as a dig or anything. Just pointing out to those that sometimes feel forced to double downgrade that things can often open up.

No, there is not

But, Crossely is probably the one to give way when Lynch returns i reckon but hes been really impressive, i reckon hes a small chance to stay in but probably too many talls

Also Peter Wright returned in NEAFL last week as well so he will obviously takes Crossleys place if he is still there when match fitness achieved,

Traded English out last week for McInerney from brisbane.
Had to as nicnat and English were both out.
Cant complain with his 81
