T20 squad announced, it would appear as though Carey and Short would be unavailable to play BBL should their respective sides make the grand final. Massive blow for the Strikers and especially the Hurricanes.

Need a huge game from Laughlin and Nes tonight  :)

Strikers hurt more, we lose Head and Stanlake too. No other team in finals contention loses more than 2 players, Thunder conveniently don’t lose anyone (Khawaja not picked?). Also quite surprising that Mitch Marsh hasn’t been picked in the T20 squad so will play BBL finals. And don’t get me started on how Jhye Richardson is going to South Africa yet he is ALSO not picked in the T20 squad, the format where he’s actually decent and somewhat proven in.

Just from that game it looks like there could be a lot of decent DGW options for next week. Ludeman opening again, Pollard looked alright, Hodge looked good, White and Bravo have both been good all season, Tremain looked decent as well. Think I will be loading up on Gades next week.

I was thinking the opposite, feel like I'm better off backing in guys like Agar, Short, Khan and look to maximise my loophole options

Here's my take on the 11 Gades who just played

Bravo - Lock

Will consider:
Cooper - Bats at 4, chance to jag a sneaky wicket
Pollard - Bowls, can get some late innings runs
Wildermuth - Same as Pollard
Tremain - Looks likely to take wickets

Unlikley to pick:
White - Strong chance to miss the second game
Harris - 4/8 scores under 10 is a worry

No Chance:
Hogg - Looks cooked
Hodge - Two scores over 18 in 7 attempts
Ludeman - Doesn't look like making runs
Richardson - Been going the journey and not taking wickets, also just bowled 18 balls without a single dot!

I already have Bravo and will get 2 from the "Will Consider" list and probably use my 3rd trade to loophole guys like Bancroft/McCullum/Maxi

Already have Bravo, plus Wildermuth waiting on the pine. Will add two, perhaps three more DGWs to bring us home. Hopefully Macca Harvey gets a run for the Gades as an ultra cheap option.

Good enough form for the Australian T20 team :P

Nope because if they wrote down the other Richardson, then Renegades would be better off and Scorchers worse off, which won't go down well with Justin Langer who is the sole national team selector when the BBL is on.

Hearing Jimmy Faulkner could be dropped tonight. surely not? Hasnt been there worst but worring with Quiney and Beer in the Squad so will either bring in batter or bowler tonight?

Faulkner survives! KP and Coleman are the ones who miss out for Quiney and Beer!

Really dodged a bullet there, was seriously considering bringing those two in

Tonight a good reason why giving yourself a second chance could come back to haunt you. Seen a couple of teams that went elsewhere with the C after having the VC on Maxwell.

Also, Garry, what the hell was that?! 2 dot balls only :'( Hopefully he can snag a catch
Wicket as I type, I didn't think he'd get another over. All good now :)

Using the VC loophole on Maxwell hasn't worked too well this week... Short a rare failure and Maxwell backs up with 114.
Don't mention Denly sitting on the pine with 128 and counting  :'(

Adamant

Traded Denly for KP. I'm just going to trade in and captain random players for the rest of the comp.
