Not as impressive as some of the scores I've seen around the leagues, but am 591 with Rashid (c), Head, Carey, Laughlin, Weatherald, Ingram and Watson to come.

Really need both Khan and Laughlin to play tomorrow night but I have an awful feeling that LOC plays for one of them, either for a Rashid 'injury', or to play 2 spinners at Spotless. Laughlin was made the scapegoat when we played Stanlake for the WACA last season, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him make way if we do decide to go with 2 spinners, despite the wickets.

Head is a nutcase.

942 This week which I think will be good but could have easily been a massive 1164 if I had simply played Doggett and put the C on Khan.

BBL is such a luck-based game, seen a few big scores around this week. Didn't realise so many had Doggett!

Scored 997 which was enough to climb up 10 spots to 32nd overall. The fun starts now though.

Going

Head -> Short
Laughlin -> McDermott (via Archer/Carey)
Weatherald -> Bancroft

Leaves team at

Archer (c) // Ingram // McCullum // Silk // Carey (Watson // Bancroft)
McDermott (Peirson)
Short (vc) // Bravo // Rashid // Willey // Sams (Nair // Cam Green)

Head -> Short

Do you think that Head will play or will he leave for the ODI squad?
if he does play it's against the Stars so I can definitely see him scoring big if he plays.

So I have players like Finch, Willey and Head.  Will they play there last game this round, or will they leave for international duty, excluding them from participating in this round.

Cheers.

When do ODI players leave the big bash?

Very soon! The squad meets on the 14th, but guys like Finchy, for example, are playing their last game tonight.

Getting together on the 10th I'm fairly sure. Lynn has clearance to play the game against Hobart and will join a day late. So everyone will be gone by the end of this round.

They'll play this round mate. Willey is in tonight's squad as is Finch. Head should play tomorrow night.

So Christian or Clive?

If you had to pick one, I think DC's relevance depends on whether Milenko is dropped for a more notable bowler. If so, I don't think DC gets more than 1-2 overs at max (and a very real chance of none), for someone batting 5-6 that's not what you want. If Milenko keeps his place, DC becomes a very viable option this GW imo. We've seen Bailey's reluctance to give him the ball lol.

So yeah, Clive if Milenko gets dropped, DC if he doesnt.

Lynn now unlikely to play against Hobart and/or be in the Australian ODI squad https://www.foxsports.com.au/cricket/australia/chris-lynn-set-to-miss-australias-odi-series-outoffavour-glenn-maxwell-back-in-frame/news-story/b54a7a1f8e02a09e02d044ece8a20523

Thanks mate, Whats the chances of Readorn playing? Surely he comes in and bowls a few overs and bats at 5-6?

Confirmation for you mate: 'Tuesday night’s match against the Stars will be captain Travis Head's last before he is due to fulfil international duties in the Gillette ODI Series against England.' - from the squad article.

Potentially for sure, seemed pretty cooked last big bash but has done reasonably well in Tassie/Gold Coast grade competitions and in the Hong Kong 6's in the last few months, so you never know. Not sure the Canes will change much after two wins on the trot though.

Anyone know what finches BE is? Hoping for at least a 10k price rise this week

I've decided to open a Fantasy BBL blog to quell a writing itch. I've done an article on the returning Aussie players, and I'll do one for the new import's when they get added. Preview/Review/Captains will start from next round hopefully.
