Key Points

    The Lions play the GWS Giants, Hawthorn, Collingwood, North Melbourne and the Gold Coast Suns twice.
    The Lions travel to Victoria six times, NSW once, South Australia once, Tasmania once and Western Australia once.
    Four matches at Etihad Stadium, one at the MCG and one at GMHBA Stadium (Geelong).
    One back-to-back travel period - Round 3 vs. Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval to Round 4 vs. Richmond at the MCG - due to the Commonwealth Games.
    Four six day breaks between matches.
    One match on Channel 7 nationwide (Round 9 v Hawthorn). All matches broadcast into Brisbane on 7mate.
    Four Saturday afternoon matches, five Saturday twilight matches, four Saturday night matches, four Sunday afternoon matches, four Sunday twilight matches.

Only the one Saturday night game at Gabba is probably the drawback but probably offset by the number of block buster games,

6 games in Melbourne 5 at Etihad and Richmond at the G, Should assist Victorian Members.

Have a difficult first half draw with an easier run home. Hopefully we can start well against some teams in the early rounds and lose momentum. Ideally would like to be no worse than 4 and 7 after Rd 11. Need wins against Saints, Suns, Pies and Roos. Dees at Gabba may also be winnable.
