North, who have told out-of-contract defender Aaron Mullett it would be in his best interest to look elsewhere, yesterday declared they were no longer interested in Geelong free agent Daniel Motlop.

See this is why Cats don't bottom out astute recruiting, i wouldn't want Daniel motlop either,

Yeah I'd be pretty shocked if Mullett didn't attract any interest. If Ricky Henderson, who is three years older and an inferior player got picked up by the Hawks then Mullett has no worries.

I expect Mullet to get picked up for sure, but I'm sure you can also understand why we negged the trade, because this news of Mullet was unknown so we just thought it was in everyones interest
