Berlin Brews a Finals Assault

Yes, yes, it's all coming together... seriously though, I had such a roller coaster year that I'd wager I'd have the highest standard deviation. Berlin's finals hopes depend on whether Fyfe and Gawn have truly returned to form, else you may see us exit in embarrassing circumstances. The Jags' are so injury depleted, that I think their injured XV could beat some at the bottom 4. But has this result cost them finals? No, it hasn't, and they know better than anyone at what's required over the next 4 weeks. It'll be interesting to see what these two teams do in September.

Spetsnaz savour one last victory

If there was any team to receive some injury luck next year and be a serious threat because of it, it'd be Moscow. Although they have had their prospects denied by injury to key players, they still made a go of it this year and that spirit will take them far. For the Dillos, there is a lot of work ahead as you enter your most important part of the season. Prepare wisely. So long you to you both for now, we'll see you next time!

Buenos Aires Armadillos (17.9.111) lost to Moscow Spetsnaz (20.9.129)

Toronto stands Tall over crouching Christchurch

The stakes could not have been higher, and it was Toronto that rose to the challenge. The Wolves through outstanding circumstances have STOLEN a spot in finals, having finished in the bottom 2 last year! That story kinda sounds familiar if you ask me...

Meanwhile for the Saints, I daresay that famous depth is a curse, because selection failures have cost them the season this year and none was more memorable than omitting Toby McLean late against New York. The question now is, how many Saints will retire this year? Will they be completely different at Round 1 next year? Either way, meow meow is gonna be great to watch this off-season, and I personally can't wait.

Christchurch Saints (21.7.133) lost to Toronto Wolves (22.9.141)

Best
Christchurch: Drew Petrie, Shaun Higgins, Daniel Wells
Toronto: Alex Witherden, Shane Savage, Brodie Smith, Mitch Duncan, Pearce Hanley, Jack Macrae

How can Mitch McGovern kick 4.2 including the goal that draws the match and only scores 60pts?

Purple 77

That was Toronto's first win over Christchurch too

Also notable that Buenos Aires v Moscow was their 8th clash, now at 4-4

RaisyDaisy

Congrats to the boys at NDT for a fantastic year

Big congrats to JB and Seoul for making their finals debut in crushing fashion!

And finally, a big congrats to Ada for taking Toronto off the bottom into the finals so soon, and without Pendles lately too

I'm genuinely nervous about facing you!

If we can just make it into the 2nd week of finals I'd be happy with that considering everything, but a first week exit would be justifiable too  :'(

Big kudos to all! Dehli were a force all year, but I'll be tipping Seoul to take out the Premiership in their first finals appearance! Their midfield trio is insane :o.

Also another fine year of write ups and running the comp Purps 8).
