Okay so here we are, the last round of the season. Last year we did a ladder-based rivalry round, and I'm not sure about what we'll be going with this week - out of a ladder-based rivalry round and just more randomised fixture.

A rough league ladder: Anaheim 14-2, Boston 13-3, Carolina 13-3, Houston 12.5-3.5, San Francisco 10-6, Wisconsin 8.5-7.5 ||| Las Vegas 8-8, Chicago 6-10, NBH 4-12, Ottawa 3-13, Colorado 3-13, Quito 1-15

A rough reserves ladder: Nevada 14-2, Harlem 11-5, Rio Grande 10-6, Stanford 10-6, North Carolina 10-6, Milwaukee 9-7 ||| Suffolk 8-8, Rockford 7-9, Galapagos 7-9, Colorado 5-11, Montreal 3-13, Birmingham 2-14

Two things I have atm against repeating with a ladder-based rivalry round - firstly, it could be unfair to teams who have been great all year but stuff it on the last week because they got a harder fixture than they would have had in a random game. Second, with reserves going on we could award a great league match-up but a ridiculously easy reserves match-up that helps a team get an unfair leg up - for example, Anaheim vs Carolina would be great for league but unfair for reserves.

Just want to gauge the opinion on this matter before we officially lock in the fixtures. Cheers.

Reckon this sounds reasonable.

Yeah this looks good, in most cases some teams in better shape/form than others anyway

I'd make a couple changes to that:

Anaheim vs Carolina
Boston vs Houston

Because Boston and Anaheim played on the weekend so I'd prefer not to double up, while Houston knocked over Boston earlier so a rematch would be nice.

But yeah, mostly so we don't have the same fixture on consecutive weeks.

i don't mind

just send out a vote and see if any complaints

I could even do multiple group-randomising - three groups of four teams with random draws, elements of both methods.

So group one - Anaheim, Boston, Carolina, Houston.
Group two - San Francisco, Wisconsin, Las Vegas, Chicago.
Group three- NBH, Ottawa, Colorado, Quito.

I've definitely warmed to this idea aha

I like this option - as an experimental effort

I'm not too fussed, my team isn't getting through and even if we do by some miracle... what's the point - we'll just be humiliated next week (they just never fail to disappoint me hahahaha). At least the Sinners will have a chance of causing a finals upset with their pig status players.

I'm writing this off as another disappointing season (barring the young talent that's emerged on our list)

I think I'll be going with the group-based randomised fixtures. I'll be doing them on random.org - do you guys want me to video myself doing it and I'll post the vid in discord or do you all trust me enough to just do them? :P
