Last defender poll.

Need a defender, but not sold on anyone yet. Thought I'd put up a poll, might be a few with the same question.

Defense is Doch, Laird, Lloyd, Shaw, Hibberd, Witherden (Ryan, EVW).
$513k to spend if trading EVW. Can wait another week or so, and keep playing Ryan/Witherden if I have to.

I've been waiting for Adams to bottom out, but with the way the Pies are travelling, I'm not sure he will come good again?

McDonald has been great the last month, but will his role change again when the Dees get back to full strength?

Hurley in good touch.

Rance looking good, but can throw in some real stinkers (as he just has).

Simpson gaining some consistency and is proven.

Going for cash league and sitting top four. 8 trades left and full squad after this trade (if you count Shaw, Hanners, Fyfe. Rocky and Nank! ::) )

Hurley or Adams for me

Personally I'm looking at grabbing Adams this week, too cheap to pass up on i reckon

Voted Adams but I reckon Roberton's a decent shout - Saints looking organised and they love the ball in his hands. Efforts at contests and 1%ers are (somewhat surprisingly) really strong as well. Rance a good smoky too.

Gotta be Adams though.

Great poll. Im in the same boat. Anzac day i was like yes adams had a stinker will get to $510k then hasnt went over 80 since and doesn't look good at all but Adams at $450k seems a decent deal so ill be grabbing as a flooter. For you and me this week i would go Simmo. Reakon he will come home very strong now cripps out

Inseriousness, I reckon Hurley or Adams - Adams started so well that basically everyone has him, if he finds form again he could hurt you. I'm really glad I started Hurley, but he hasn't really pumped out big scores. Adams in a bad run of recent form but if he gets back to starting he could average 115 from here...

Cheers for all the replies. Adams is definitely the safe bet, but I'd like to see another ton from him. Been so long.

FWIW Hurley is leading the poll by a mile. Pity his ceiling is low. Hmm, might sit on it another week.

Edit- just realized I can't afford Hurley, so looks like I'll go with the masses and grab Adams.

Roberton looked good last night. Had a BE of 130, so will be even cheaper next week. I might sit on my trade this week and see how Adams goes. Another low score and he is becoming to risky I think.
