brought in aguero and gave him triple captain. hope it works and he bangs in 5 against palace LOL

Save your chips for the DGW's mate. People thought Kane would do that against Swansea, look how that turned out.

And city have Champs League on Tuesday. Wouldn't be surprised to see Aguero and or Jesus subbed early if they get ahead.

Yeah, wouldn't at all be surprised if they are benched. Sane, Sterling, KDB and Silva are capable of beating Crystal Palace on their own.

oh great  >:( lol oh well
Jesus played 90 this morning and aguero was rested, so expect him to play on the weekend. You can still remove the triple captain chip if you want to, it's not locked in until lockout.

He may very well go nuts again, but the % play would have to be to wait for a gameweek when a team plays twice.

Yep, last year in the DGW's, Kane and Sanchez got 31 and 27 points. Both more than what Aguero got last week.

PowerBug

Aguero went alright in the end.

I got 61 points after my hit, ranking stayed where it was. Got Chalobah injured, I won't make a change this round unless Chalobah is going to drop in price. Then maybe make 3 transfers over the international break.

A pretty good GW so far, mainly thanks due to Davies and Kane.

I'm on 64 with Salah + Joselu to come

Nige

So I got too caught up in grand final fever and forgot to switch captain from Morata to Kane...  ::)

PowerBug

I really need to get Davies somehow...

40 with Ward, Brady, Kolasinac, Salah, Firmino to come. I'm being trolled this year big time, I transferred in Wesley Hoedt because he looked really good, BPS magnet and 6"4 so a set piece threat. VVD and Yoshida play ahead of him last night and Yoshida (who I thought Wes would start ahead of) scored >:(

So my team sucks, and here's my plan to revamp it over the next couple of weeks.

Team right now:
Foster (Elliot)
Alonso, Kolasinac, Hoedt, Ward, Naughton
Salah, Mhkitaryan, Brady, Carroll, Chalobah
Kane, Lukaku, Firmino

I'm playing a 4-3-3 right now. Those in bold are the ones I want to move on because of fixtures, their team being shower, or not even getting on the park.

I have 2 FT for this international break, and I'm thinking first area to address at is the lack of City, and the lack of Ben Davies in defence. So my thoughts here are: Turn Firmino into Jesus, turn Naughton into Davies. That covers both my problems, but I need to fund that move somehow, and I was planning on doing that by going Mhkitaryan to Kante (5.1). My reason for Kante is a) he's played 90 minutes every game this season, so he's getting 3 points for every Chelsea CS, and at that price, any attacking returns are great, but ultimately he's there to fund the rest of my team.

So in GW8 I play a 5-2-3, Benching Chalobah (injrued), Carroll and probably Brady as Kante plays Palace (But brady may have to come in if Hoedt doesn't play again) Then I make a double transfer of Brady to Loftus-Cheek (4.5 maybe 4.4 in two weeks) and Hoedt to Otamendi, giving me the following side:

I have:
4 big name defenders
1 big name mid
3 big name fwds
Foster/Elliot in goals
2 of Kante, Ward, RLC starting depending on fixtures.

Chelsea have a good run of fixtures, Burnley are solid at home and Ward is a Bonus Point magnet and RLC looks the most likely Palace player to score.

Is it silly what I'm doing? Have I missed anything important? It gives me coverage for every team in the top 6, I have City, Chelsea, Spurs defence and they look the best 3, Kola is the best Gunners player to own at the moment. Kane and Lukaku are going nowhere all season and Jesus whilst lone striker will be awesome. Salah and Coutinho are the most likely source of goals for Liverpool. I have two weeks ot think about this I will probably let a price rise or two happen as at the moment this final team has 0.5 left over.

just remember with Davies, yes top of defenders but that is due to 2 games of scoring a goal and 1 with 2 assists (i know that is awesome from a defender), but looking a little deeper into it that was
GW1, newcastle goal for 14,
GW4 Everton 2 Assists for 14
GW7, Huddersfield goal for 16

all 3 teams not exactly world beaters (even everton has really dropped so far this season goal difference of -8 having let through 12 already)

so take those 3 away
GW2 - 2
GW3 - 2
GW5 - DNP
GW6 - 1

still looking at it going at about every 3rd game or so is a big one
but then looking at the quality he has done it against fine to grab him if coming against poor opposition but in the next 5 weeks they have 2 easy and 3 hard
GW8 - Bournemouth - (could go well here)
GW9 - Liverpool - (could scorer against Liverpool they do get scored against but on the flip side Liverpool can score so chance there is no clean sheet
GW10 - Man UTD - (scoring well atm Utd so again relying on him actually scoring goals or assists as doubt another clean sheet
GW11 - Crystal Palace - (another good chance at CS or scoring etc)
GW12 - Arsenal - (just starting to fire the last couple of weeks and looking good will be another danger game)

so up to you ofc, but i was like wow his killing it i need him, noticed that and went Otamendi instead,
other one i want to get is monreal but struggling to afford him with my side, unless i ditch mkhitaryan too,

Then again, you can't just simply remove his attacking returns. He's gotten 3 attacking returns in the 6 games he's played which show he's no fluke.

Although in saying that, Otamendi has better fixtures and I think he's slightly a better option at the moment.

Hoedt should get gametime soon, but there defence is turning bad so I'm looking to get rid of Cedric.

In regards to your team, I don't reckon you need to make such drastic changes yet.

I'd definitely be looking to get rid of Firmino. Possible Vardy in?

David Silva looks essential right now and I'd be looking to bring him in, so Mkhi -> Silva.

Naughton was unlucky not to get defensive returns on the weekend as they conceded in the 90th minute. I also hear he was on track for Bps.

oh agreed his proving he can hit the boar with goals and assists , I was more pointing out that he may continue to score well but the next 3 of 5 games will be hard to do so, So after that period would be the ideal time to get him in was more my point, as let's say even if he does score in 1 of those 3, those games are danger for keeping clean sheets so would really be relying on him scoring or assisting in all 3 to be confident of getting a good return, rather then clean sheet bonuses (or they could get in all 3 ofc just assessing it on danger games etc)

Agreed, City also have 6 4 consecutive clean sheets iirc, so Otamendi looks like a very good option.
