Hi Guys, hoping for some insight for the worlds best coaches from the worlds premier Supercoach forum  ;D
7 trades / $340k and going for League wins.

Got a full team (except Greenwood at F6) but struggling to mix it with the best while carrying the afore mentioned spuds.

Started with them all and paid full whack expecting them to be stars, have held strong all year trading out no premiums and riding the wave, but coming towards the end, i'm thinking I have a luxury trade or 2 to make moving forward.

Who goes first, and who stays.

Thanks in advance guys. Much appreciated for your 4 star feedback.

Little bit hard without the rest of your team, but I reckon carrying only one of Hanners and Fyfe in the mids is viable. If you can bring in a Pendles or another super prem for Hanners I'd be tempted to do this and back Fyfe to go 105.

Similar with Shaw - if you could get a Doch then tempting but wouldn't bother for, e.g., Lloyd.

All in all none of these are really urgent, but with so many elite mids to choose from I think this is the place to look for luxury upgrades first

ivolve

Solid advice, thanks mate. Got Doch and Yeo on other lines, maybe mids is where i focus.

All keepers for the time being imo. There are some potential bargain mids around tho. The Bont, Sloane, Murphy all cheap. Titch is cheap considering his output too. But the 2 best options maybe Parker (not for me as I have 4 swans on field as it is) or wait for a super dirt cheap Jelwood (too bad for me as I already have him) in 3 weeks time. If you still have Stewart or Barrett or SPP I think one of those to Witherden is just about a must this week.

I'd be keeping Nank for ruck cover and trading in Gawn. Using Greenwood and Nank as F6 loophole.

I would cull one of Fyfe or Hanners for a mid.  That is where you have 2 underperformers really effecting your scores and mids are usually where high scores are. With $340k cash should be able to get a mid who is averaging 115+ not in your team.  Tom Mitchell has only 2 scores under the ton and worth considering, With Sydney surging towards top 8 JPK or Parker worth considering as well. Zorko from Brisbane another worth considering, Suggestions not knowing your team.

Great feedback guys, pretty happy with the rest of my Mids, Danger, Tich, Dusty, Neale, Bont, tremor so thinking Hanners to Zorko/Merrett maybe? Could hold off and get Selwood cheap. I also like the swing Nank to F6 and maybe brink in Myers as got Gawn for Sandi this week.
Hard seeing Shaw spud up each week tho.

Yep, like Hanners to Merrett a lot - reckon Merrett has looked really really good, much better than I expected, and if you're lucky could go over 115 from here (maybe 120!?). That's +15-20 pg. Selwood is probably similar. Bont for the smokey  8)

Shaw to Rance or Lloyd is probably +5-10. As bad as Shaw has been he is fine at D6 - unless you have him and JJ or something like that I think we probably hold Shaw. Similar with Higgins and Nank imo - Higgins should go 90+ and Nank hopefully 95+, which is enough to hold both, unless you can go to someone likely to average 110+

Yep. Shaw is spudding it up bad. I have J. Lloyd in the mids. Eventually he was taking Newmans spot & bring in my last MID (Titch) but I am seriously considering keeping Newman & ousting Shaw. Either way it won't be this week so wait & see I suppose.

Share your pain.
Had all those. Traded Fyfe to Beams for 66 and 12 injured, now sitting on my bench.
Shaw as D6 and Higgins as F6 aren't great but are serviceable.
Nank with DPP, still averaging 94 and DPP cover in rucks is not leaving my team.
Hanners had poor games in R13 and 15 but not throwing the baby away with the bath water...likely to bounce back strong. Proven gun, weren't many better than him from rounds 5-12.
Fyfe hasn't been right since R5.
Trading him out wasn't a mistake it was just who I chose to replace him with.
Fyfe is the one I reckon.

My advice would be to finish your team completely before worrying about that.
If you can, keep Greenwood for mid/fwd cover for the year and upgrade a bench rookie to complete your forward line then you can assess which issues are your biggest in the coming weeks

ivolve

So much for luxury trades.

Thanks again supercoach gods.

If Nank is F4, Higgins F5 and Greenwood F6, would strongly look at bringing in someone for Higgins/Greenwood.
