Only I could give up 91 to a second-game KPB, 94 to Nathan Vardy, 118 to Waite, and 130 to coke addict Whitfield :/

New Brooklyn Hawks 20.5.125 defeated Las Vegas Sinners 18.9.117
(Real: 1881 vs 1748)

The Sinners were pretty decent, but the Hawks were on fire as they record a fourth victory for 2017. The usual suspects shone for both sides, as the Crouch brothers combined for 253 and Captain Cripps scored 126 for the Hawks, while Tom Mitchell and Buddy were great for Las Vegas, in addition to a bright display from young Jordan De Goey. On the other hand, star midfielders Sidebottom and Rockliff failed to fire, and both sides had a score in the 40s and one in the 50s.

Best
New Brooklyn: Crouch, Cripps, Crouch, Newnes, Mayes, Steele
Las Vegas: Lyons, Mitchell, Franklin, De Goey, Westhoff

Carolina Panthers 20.6.126 defeated Chicago Sharks 16.12.108
(Real: 1887 vs 1626)

Pretty expected result really. The Sharks struggled without Hurn, Lynch, and Menzel (their replacements combining for 139 total points), but had a fair few great performances - Tom McDonald's form up forward continues to reap rewards for the Sharks. Meanwhile, Patton had another good game up forward for Carolina and their star-studded midfield did their stuff, but if you have to pick out a negative it would be poor scoring down back (Roberton 60, Kolodjashnij 46) and from their utilities (Henderson 56, Redpath 79) - can their midfield (and Docherty) keep propping them up?

Best
Carolina: Ward, Menegola, Docherty, Martin, Kelly, Grundy, McDonald, Patton
Chicago: Parker, Gaff, Ryder, McDonald, Burgoyne, Kerridge, Yeo

Boston Terriers 17.12.114 defeated Ottawa Otters 15.14.104
(Real: 1709 vs 1560)

Rats. Would've been an enormous upset if Ottawa had replicated their Round 13 performance and beaten the Terriers, but alas it was not to be. Selwood out might have initially hurt the Terriers, but it ended up okay - Gibbs stepped up with 142 as EVC, while Biggs as E1 scored 102 - and to top it off, sub Jack Martin scored 122 - those three occurrences were pretty much the difference. Boston were very poor though obviously, with three players scoring 45 (unique in itself) and a score of 44, with their defence averaging 61.5 each and captain Pendlebury only managing 79. They offered up a potential victory to the Otters but they could not take it, as they were plagued by mediocre scoring - 8 scores between 57 and 65 really hurt. Ryan Lester stood up as VC and each of their captaincy trio tonned up, so it's not all doom and gloom. In short - a missed chance for a 3-10 team to beat a 12-1 team.

Best
Boston: Gibbs, Martin, Wingard, Nankervis, Biggs, Goldstein
Ottawa: McGovern, Lester, Treloar, Fiorini

Ressies and ladders maybe later but probably Tuesday.

Easy win for the Ducks because the coach of the Avalanche is an absolute pelican who handicapped his own team by going in with 17 men.

Quito Quetzals 1565 lost to Houston Bombers 1660

E: Archie Smith (ruc), Shane Edwards (m/f), Andrew Mackie (def), Will Hoskin-Elliot 61 (fwd)(sub)

Houston can count themselves very lucky that Quito's Callum Mills was subbed out with no impact and Jake Barrett as sub had minimal impact or there would have likely been an upset.

San Francisco Grizzlies 1710 lost to Wisconsin Cockerels 1813

Grizzlies - 1710

D: H. Shaw 85, Z. Williams B. Maynard 74, L. Montagna 71, O. McDonald 98

E: Alex Sexton (M), Josh Bruce (F), Hayden Crozier (B), Jack Lonie 58 (sub)

This was a pretty important clash and it delivered, but it was the Cockerels that wanted it that little bit more and had a more even spread of contributors to help them get the win.

There was a sacrifice though as your ressies went down by 17 (ie 170 SC points)

I'll have all the ressies stuff (with write-ups!) tonight - shock alert as one team broke the record for highest ever ressies score, who don't currently sit in the finals spots (pre R14 as in). Stay tuned for who it is! (Not clickbait I swear)
