Ok I'm going to go full YOLO the next 2 weeks

rd 15
Shaw>Dahl via Lloyd DPP (yes I don't have Dahl :) )

rd 16
Fisher>Witherden
Nank>Gawn

Leaves me only 3 trades but due to a really good DPP setup I can cover any line with either Greenwood or S.Selwood  8)

How does that leave you with ruck cover?

Ryder in my forward line

Burton F/D in my forward line with a F/D rookie at D8
One of my M/F Premos at M8 (Dahl/Macrae/Yeo)
S.Selwood M9
Greenwood at F7
Ryder in forwards, Strandica R3

For example Doch misses a game, I swing Burton back, my DPP M8 swaps with Greenwood and S.Selwood come on to the field.

Yes having Burton F6 and a DPP at M8 might mean my team is slightly weaker but I'm pretty happy with my DPP setup which is why I'm going to take the punt of only having 3 trades for rds 17-23

Good structure G.   D/F dpp worked great last year and I had Long in for that sort of option but had to move him on to bring in scoring rookies.  Now all the buggers are playing except cousins and I have no loopholes or overall dpp coverage.     For me the gaps in the fog seem to come the week after I make my decisions instead of before hand...  c'est la vie!

Could do Beams to LLoyd and then swap lloyd/adams for mid/def with bolton/greenwood/macrea/dahl for mid/forward cover.. Have Ryder, Nank for Rucks.

6 trades left, Nank, Burton, Shaw my weak points

Will probably hold
thought i was the only one with 6 trades left.  Not that you need advice G but I agree that sitting on the trades is right thing to do.  Perhaps you can give me some perspective on my situation.

Still need 2 def for Newman and Stewart,  need cover for beams, have Steele, Higgins and Nank F5,6,7 and Greenwood better than all of them!      Not sure what I will do this week.   Probably hold or look to upgrade Stewart to lloyd.  One option was Beams or Steele to Yeo and Stewart to Lloyd.   Leaves me with 4 trades for rest of year and keep Newman at d6.   Ryan and Shaz d7/8   Doesnt matter, season went to showere before byes and has just got worse.   Had Beams, Stewart and Selwood on the ground last weekend with Scooter, Greenwood on the Bench.    scored 2163 should have been closer to 2400.

I'm guessing you have a fair bit of cash?
If so i would go with what you said, Stewart to Lloyd and Beams to Yeo

Steele dominated the 2's so is a chance to return soon, Beams could turn into 5+ weeks.

GoSaints3

Unsure on whether or not to trade beams. Can use Greenwood in his place for the time being. And with 9 trades left and so much of the season left I fell like I should be keeping them.

However if I do trade it will be:
Myers -> Rookie mid
Beams -> Titch
Then next week:
Witts -> Gawn

Leaves me 6 trades and a full team apart from a few struggling premos in Shaw, nank and Fyfe

Or could just hold and keep 8 trades after going witts to Gawn next week anyway.

Not many good mid options around beams's price

good thinking about keeping some trades up your sleeve. always come in handy at end of year.
witts is scoring about 100 avg, which is not too bad for a ruck. there are prob only 3 or 4 ahead of him in regards to avgs.

im keeping witts for now, he will be an upgrade around finals time if I have luxury trades avail, which im planning to have with 8 trades atm. still have one premo fwd spot to fill but that can wait a little also.
this week for me prob brown for cash generation and DPP link is the only trade im thinking of.

Scharenberg to Witherden

Stewart to Lloyd

Next week

James Stewart to Deluca

Nankervis to Gawn

Still have SPP and Parsons as bench cover

Scharenberg hasn't grown in value much, does anyone know why he didn't play? I must admit I missed his exclusion.
He was omitted but played well in the 2's and is listed as one of the best think he will get games again soon you never know maybe even this week

Cheers mate

Hazza09

Was only thinking Myers - Witherden as the only trade this week.

Don't have enough cash to upgrade Stewart to anyone decent and with Selwood, Gawn prices to drop a fair bit in the next few weeks I'm going to wait.

Only areas that need upgrading are D6, M8 & F6....and R2  8)

7 trades left and 40k, 1 trade should do it this week.

Need some advice guys. 8 trades $88k

Option 1: Parsons to Witherden, Scooter to Bont to finish team. Still have Lynch and Nank, but could get Gawn for Nank next week but lose dpp.
Option 2: Pickett to Witherden, Lynch to Stef with Nank fwds and I get back dpp in rucks. That means playing Scooter/Greenwood in M8 for now.
Option 3: Shaz to Cox, Lynch to Greene. Still have Scooter/Greenwood as M8 and Nank to deal with.
Options 4: Same as 2, but leave Nank in R1 and get Greene instead

Thanks guys

Parsons will make money the next 2 weeks, I'd suggest holding off on trading him this week. Maybe post your whole team for better advice, hard to comment based on the above. For example why do you want cox? Do u need another low scoring rookie? Or would a non playing DPP cheapie provide you with better options?

Jesty

8 trades.
Sitting 2nd in my cash league so can afford to hold and save trades this week. Ride with Witherden at D6 ( Ryan-Stewart bench), Greenwood F6 ( Parsons bench).
Hope Sandi plays and can generate a few more $$s and pick up Gawn following week.

I think if your in a good league position then saving trades are more important especially since there are potentially 8 or so rnds to get through ( inc finals).

Millsy999

10 trades left, 165k in the bank.

In 8 leagues, need to make some ground in a couple of leagues if I want to make finals in all, which is the aim.

Thinking Heater to Lloyd, and Scooter to Bont this week. (assuming Fyfe gets up)

Then Stewart to Witherden and Nank to Gawn next week.

Leaves 6 trades for 7 rounds if I can make it to some GFs.

Team will then be;

D - Adams, Laird, Lloyd, Hibberd, Harbrow, Newman (Witherden, McInnes)
M - Danger, Titch, Oliver, Murphy, JPK, Wines, Fyfe, Bont (Greenwood, D.Lloyd, Cousins)
R - Witts, Gawn (Strnadica)
F - Yeo, Macrae, Dahl, Buddy, Greene, Heeney (Parsons, C.Brown)

Thoughts?

I'd be keeping that ruck cover at all costs.

My priorities would be Gawn, Nank-> F7 and then moving on from Scooter, in that order.

Gawn of course comes in next week.

How about:
Stewart -> Witherden
Shaw -> Lloyd

Scooter -> Hibberd (should be back soon - Witherden DPP too) - Greenwood M8
Parsons -> Gawn

$400k bank

Lloyd -> Bont (or whoever you want for about $590k)

Costs an extra trade but gives you a strong F7 and the all important ruck cover.
