What am I missing here?

He named Thurs players to loop, and then named the rest of his side Friday morning

He forgot Crouch, so he's not in the side this week, as per the Friday listed team

What's the problem?

The issue is that he's not getting the Friday listed team. He accepted a strike to get a team based on preferences, but those preferences only apply to the Crows/Hawks who were locked while also having the ability to name the rest of his team as per normal because they weren't locked, and so he gets Crouch and the players he was looping.

If you've named a team, you can't then say you haven't named a team and want admin to do it. And if you do, then surely everyone that's already played can't be used in any way, or at the very least in the same positions as last round.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of this seeing as he had already named a team.

Not only that, but Holz went on to name a full team Friday morning.

It's pretty obvious what happened here.

Holz knew exactly what would happen if he took the strike, if you look at the Friday team and the team Purps has put up for him, it's pretty obvious that the one Purps has suits him a lot better because it includes Crouch and still gets Greenwood.

Surely that can't happen.

Of course i know what would happen. I asked what the rule was and purp told me.

If people dont like the rule vote on it end of season. No point whinging now.

Im playing by the rules and all im getting is what i should have anyway. Crouch in my best 15 as he is every single week.

The rules are what they are. You need to play by them.

But you did name a team although only part so in effect team named so it has to be filled by players from thge remaining teams as per your priority lists not players that have already played.  This is the basis of argument as you had named a part team prior to lock out and those players should have been locked as well as additional players from those teams.
Think if this is allowed must play it when I forget to name a player as you have done.

I asked for clarification of the rule as its unclear for partial lockouts.

Purp told me the rules and i abided by them.

This really is a rule discussion and for that Purp is the man.

Again if people unhappy vote on it and have the majority. Plenty of rules i dont agree with in worlds/afl/life but you got to play by them

Difference is that captain and emergency loopholing is something that Purps oddly encourages.

Happily taking a meaningless strike as a slap on the wrist for being a cow and exploiting a rule is just wrong on so many levels.

As an impartial observer, that is seriously laughable if permitted. Common sense surely prevails.
