Fyfe is just sore. With the lack of cash generation with bad rookies this year trades are a premium.
Absolute waste of a trade and just wait til he starts tipping out decent scores again and further deepens the dagger in the heart.

FonFatty

Fyfe has a contract to play for, unless he is deadset shot and cant recover from this chest injury he is tradeable, but let me assure you, he will come out and finish the season with a bang, Ex Dayne Beams owners anywhere? You know the pain, be prepared for more of where that come from if you bite the bullet.

Ringo

Have decided to use one of the luxury trades I had planned and go Fyfe to Beams.  Have some rookies to take care of and they all have achievable B/E's. Think the extra points I will get for Beams makes this trade worth it.

After a bit of help on if these are well spent trades, team looks good afterwards but they're not traditional trades and I don't like paying top dollar for upgrades...

Berry to Doc
Fyfe to Scooter
Taranto to Bolton

Leaves me with 20 playing this week, 9 trades, 97K, JJ as worst back, Swallow and Scooter in mids, Witts in rucks and Steele in forwards..

With a few upgrades still to go I think you have to hold Fyfe.

Hard to know without seeing the full team, but holding this week may be the go for you. If you really want Doc now you could go Taranto to Brown to get the cash I guess, but would leave you only 18 this week, but probably in a stronger position for next week

Thanks mate. Have held Fyfe at this stage and gone Taranto to Bolton, Steele to Doc leaving 120K in the bank. 18 on the field this week inc Parsons but feel better set up for the future.

Ringo

With rolling lockouts pays to sit as long as possible.  Was looking at whether to trade Fyfe and now with scooters hammy will hold him. No Trades this week now.

Anyone heard any news about the extent of scooters hamstring?

Had planned to go SPP to Doc this week and have scooter at M8 for awhile.. if he will miss a few games though I might have to scrap that plan and upgrade scooter next week and play newman at D6 for awhile instead..

I reakon they were just being careful with it knowing his history. Hopefully can come back and go back to back tons then Bernard towels Bont this week and could be a $50k swap.

miamis_finest

Down to 11 trades and have 17 this week.

Should I, save a trade by doing what I planned to do next week but instead of doing Myers > Ryan, I do Myers > Mountford. Or should I do Steele > T. Lynch (Gc)? I'm pretty confident this is just a sting for Steele and he will be back in next week.

Chris scott:

“They’re certainly not bad hamstrings where we’re worried about losing guys for a long period of time. But with those minor ones it’s really difficult to assess in the short term.

“Suffice to say we don’t think it will be more than a couple of weeks.”

If you believe Chris Scott 2 weeks.

I'm still going ahead with planned trades

Will field Greenwood at M8 to cover Scooter next week, but have the cash in the bank to upgrade him next week if it turns out to be a 3+ hammy

Ringo

Similar RD - Greenwood on field at M8. Scooter, SPP and Cousins bench unless trading one.

Scooter should be around $375k as his B/e was -9.

What would his new be roughly? Still should be low shouldn't it?

So I went the risk burning trades trying to keep up with the leaders. Sitting nicely overall in the top 500 but having only 7 left is going to haunt me. Especially if Selwood misses out.

Might have to revert my trades from wines > dusty and steele > heeney and just sit quietly on 9 trades so I can have some sort of effect late in the season.

I've been thinking about Stef quite a bit.  The initial plan was Mummy in 2 weeks, then I pivoted to Stef this week.  Now I've decided to delay the decision for R2 for another couple of weeks (Gawn will be R1).

I figured with Scooter out I'll have to play Greenwood either way (unless I traded Scooter). So instead I've bumped Scooter to M9 (Greenwood F6) and done:

Otten, Barrett, Steele to Ryan, Gaz, Bont.

3.8k kitty should hopefully just scrape by swapping Newman to Lloyd next week otherwise I'll have to downgrade Stewart a little early.

Scooter will become one of Mummy/Jacobs/Grundy/Goldy in R15.  Like Sauce at this stage because he has the DT stats and has always been a better SCer than DTer.
