And then when faced with a top priced Doc or a bargain priced Lloyd....

Naturally, in a perfect world, take both.  I had the chance to take Docherty and Hibberd this week and grabbed it.
Gives me     Doch,  Adams,  Laird,  Hibberd,  Z Jones,  Harbrow.    Reckon Harbrow will come back from club suspension with something to prove so theoretically my only concern is the Zac.  Think I can sit on this defence until injuries kick in or finals time.  Cheers.

He got his BE so may last another week during which Doherty will throw in an uncharacteristic shocker just for me

Hope not & keeps smashing it out to make him further out of reach. Started with him.

Glad I started with him. I also started with Simmo and Shaw which didn't exactly pan out

This is important.

King Robbo look

Start with Doc and Simpson vs Adams and Laird

Fewer points (yes take off one game for byes) AND cost $115,700 more

Use that extra cash to start with a better player on another line and Doc is not vital from the get go

Would have been fantastic but can be made up elsewhere

So glad I traded Docherty in this week.

Should've made him cap too

What I can't believe is that no teams actually put a defensive forward on him  :o
He literally runs around by himself all day and teams let him do it. I would understand if he didn't have elite disposal or wasn't a player that set things up from the back half but that's exactly what he is and what he does.
It's a lot of the reason I didn't start with him this year because I thought his breakout year last season would mean teams put some time into him.

The way we play though it would actually be to our advantage if they did. Carlton look to switch the play a hell of a lot and when they suck up to Doc it leaves open guys in more dangerous spots. Plus with his ability to read the ball in the air and mark it, his pace when it hits the ground and his defensive efforts when he doesn't have the ball he will still find ways to get the ball in his hand.

No doubt he's too good of a player to be completely shut down every week but to let him run around un manned having 35 possessions seems very strange to me. He's the first player I would have someone running with from Carltons whole team and by far their most important player imo

There's Murphy too as you can't let him run around getting possies too.
