LMAO at people taking shots as Rocky being picked.  ::)
You obviously dont read Luhugs captains :P His scoring against Port (including a game this year) is very poor in AF and if its poor in AF you can assume its even worse in SC. Including a 53 earlier this year against them. That in conjunction with the fact he was just coming back from injury as well as the fact that he looked scared the tackles the week before after coming back from a shoulder injury.  Dont think he was the best captain choice personally haha. But tbh none of the good options scored that well anyway so wouldnt of mattered too much, i would of gone jelly on recent form so that wouldnt of worked out either lol

Matty Kreuzer! Take a bow! That's exactly what AAP needed and it was a great call by RaisyKirk to give him the nod over loopholing Mumford. GAJ however, he needed to do better. 97 by his standards isn't great at all and AAP are still on the ropes.

But that is pretty much because Moscow's Sam Docherty saw Kreuzer's 140+ score and raised it! What a performance by the defensive gun, and he maintains EurAsia's advantage.

The Salty Seconds

Oh, what could have been. Christchurch's Bryce Gibbs is sodium chloride itself, with a MAMMOTH 208 that would have turned the game for AAP. Docherty's compatriot in Mexico City's Kade Simpson (142) would have been a vital contributor too.

Beijing's Dayne Zorko (143) would have been a huge improvement over Dan Hannebery, whilst New Delhi pair Robbie Gray (129) and Bachar Houli (129) would be feeling stiff to get the snub from their coach.

Gibbs > Rocky

Didn't Gibbs score a 0 this week? :P

in worlds

Gibbs 102 average
Rocky 120 average

RaisyDaisy

It's funny, I always research my captain choice for my own SC team, but as I said when we originally posted this team - just selected the team based on averages, hence Rocky C

Didn't really do any research for this like I do with my personal team

Ah well

You know what Holz? Your McDonald brothers are alright. I've come around on Oscar, and Tom was outstanding today.

^^ ready to retract that statement the moment either one of them tries to switch the footy, regardless of whether its turned over ^^

I was having a laugh that for 1 week i had the dees ruck.

I reckon getting games into omac a good idea. He was/is abit young for the role but both guys are that good athletes you should develop them.

Dont do a carlton a ruin weits up front. Just stick them in one role early and enjoy the rewards when they dominate the comp like rance.

Rance Omac Tmac where brilliant

Dangerfield's EurAsia crumble the Alliance

Phwoah, this was a good match though! The Alliance came out firing to claim the first quarter, before a Dangerfield resurgence levelled the playing field at half time. However, AAP Captain Tom Rockliff failed to match the Seoul superstar allowing the EurAsian's a comfortable lead at 3QT. Kreuzer tried his heart out to chase down an unlikely victory in claiming the AAP Alliance medal, but was duly matched by Worlds medallist Sam Docherty to hand EurAsia a squaring victory against the Alliance.

If Bryce Gibbs was selected in place of ANY other AAP midfielder, the Alliance would have disbanded to their respective clubs of origin victorious. It would have been a bold selection though, with many other capable midfielders boasting a higher average. The difference really in the end was the awful captain's performance by Tom Rockliff whom had he just scored his average, the Alliance would have notched their 4th win over EurAsia.

They were 50-50 odds going in and either team could have won, and I reckon this clash sits in the top 3 encounters with the incredible 2013 underdog victory and the 2015 recounted Alliance victory. A big congratulations to our debutant coaches and an even bigger one to the victorious Ricophants!

AAP Alliance (25.8.158) lost to EurAsia (26.7.163)

Best
AAP Alliance: Dylan Roberton, Rory Laird, Michael Hurley, Tom Mitchell, Matthew Kreuzer, Elliot Yeo, Mitch Wallis, Isaac Heeney
EurAsia: Sam Docherty, Jake Lloyd, Patrick Dangerfield, Lachie Neale, Zach Merrett, Toby Greene, Dustin Martin, Brodie Grundy

Late Changes
AAP Alliance: Nil
EurAsia: Nic Naitanui replaced by Brodie Grundy

SAM DOCHERTY wins the EURASIA Medal
MATTHEW KREUZER wins the AAP ALLIANCE Medal
SAM DOCHERTY wins the WORLDS Medal

On a side note, thanks everyone for the consistent banter and activity in what can sometimes be a disinteresting week for some. I really liked this years' encounter  8)
