Round 12 Trades

Traded Taranto > Cousins. Didn't really want to do it as Cousins is relatively unknown with his place in the side and Taranto should continue to play if he keeps up this form, and increase in price

But by doing this allows me the extra cash to trade Fyfe > Rockliff next week (giving me 17 premos fielded round 13) so I really see no other point keeping Taranto besides cash generation (Rockliff just about finishes off my side anyway depending whether SSelwood is a keeper or not.)

Why Lynch?

A few have been talking him up but his numbers just don't do it for me.

Yeah I'm still not 100% sold myself to be honest, but here's my thoughts thus far:

Fwds in general are a bit of a crap shoot at the moment. Have Yeo, Macrae, Dahl and Nank which I'd say most do. F5/6, who knows. Heeney, Buddy, Greene, both Lynch's, JJK, NRoo, Cameron all options. If we're going to be short-sighted, put Wallis and Dixon in there too, but not really for me. Steele a good pick for those who started him but I'm not sure I'm confident bringing him in. So what is there separating all of those guys?
It's dicey for me to bring in a rd13 bye players, so bye Greene, Cameron, AdeLynch. Injuries to NRoo and JJK rule them out.
Down to Heeney, Buddy, GCLynch.
Heeney still 50/50, has a high BE so price not going anywhere (possibly down), and I'm not convinced 500k for what hes shown so far is worth it. 4/6 games over 90, including 3/6 over 100, 1/6 125+.
Buddy offset by a massive game, other than that has been pretty ordinary this year. You'd be picking him on class, not form, and at some point I feel even with proven prems form has to come into the equation. Has to show something before he's worth picking imo, especially at 490k. 4/10 over 100, including 2 125+
GCLynch - two terrible scores dragging down his average, and currently, his price. 6/10 over 90, including 4/10 over 100, 1 125+. Better output than Franklin for 60k less. Plus looking at his season last year, a couple of crap scores before bye, averaged 99.6 after. For 430k I'll take someone who should average 90+ and maybe pop out the odd 120+ at F5/F6.

And our personal conversations continues...

Take out Lynch's and Buddy's highest and lowest scores and they average 89 and 91 respectively.

I already have Buddy but to be honest, if I were too select a new F5/6 now (have Yeo, McCrae, Dahl, Nank, Buddy already) it would be out of Wallis and Heeney.

Wallis having DPP doesn't interest me much as 3 others there do as well.

If it is this week then Wallis but if it can wait, Heeney.

The attraction with most key forwards is getting them cheap because of their high variance between scores.  Lynch will play all year and average 90-95.  For a F4-f6 (this year) that's perfectly acceptable.  Throw in the fact he's had his bye and is pretty cheap.  A sound trade IMHO.

Not happy with Treloar last 3 weeks? I'd be wanting to bring him in! The week off did him wonders

I'm quite worried about the effects of a Vince tag x2, PA x2, Adelaide, Geelong, and WCE (away).
Dons, GC, Hawks and North are the only games I am quite confident he will score well in. Whilst he's scored well the last 3 weeks he's effectively not done what I needed him to do and that was eat up the easier first half of the year draw.

Fyfe has a much better record against his opponents on the way home and finishes with GC, Sydney, Richmond and Essendon. Also has Hawks, NM and Brisbane so much larger scope of teams to improve against than Treloar.

Plus also the $70k difference in price is a big selling point. Fyfe against Brisbane this week could see him score anything. Then hopefully the week off freshens him up, Sandi back too and then bam kills the second half of the year.

Treloar did fine yesterday when Blakely was tagging him in the 2nd half. I'm not against the trade to Rocky but on form would trade Fyfe over him if you were going to make that move.

No way Treloar is a trade option after his past 3 weeks lol (125, 141, 128) - imo that's just trolling
They still play hawthorn, essendon, GC, eagles (H) and north who are all giving away massive midfield points
I get it if he was priced $650k and you were trading to someone under priced ie a JPK to make money to invest elsewhere but no way he's leaving my side

It ain't trolling m8, why would I troll around here? Reckon if you've been here long enough you'd know that I don't troll and are pretty honest and efficient with everything I do. Oh wait, big Robbo the ruck coach from 2016, might not understand that hey?!?!? Treloar is very prone to 70's and all it takes is 20-25 touches and a few clangers and he won't meet the mark. Needs 30+ to get close to 110, 35+ to go 120. Although I do admit the bad draw doesn't take place until Rd 19 so will probably hold.
Need to get Rocky and am not prepared to get rid of anyone in the mids yet. What do you suggest? Fyfe is the only one and I reckon he comes good.

Yeh could do that, but with the way he's scoring i'll hang onto him until he's maxed out and go to Dochers then. Probably just after RD13
