M.Murphy to Wines
Hampton to H.Greenwood
Eddy to Bolton

Gives me a likely 19/20/17 before Round 12 and 13 trades and just under 300k in the bank.

Will go very aggressive this week, Murphy to Wines/Gray, Fisher to Scott Selwood & Pickett to Greenwood.

Surely you don't mean Marc Murphy to Wines/Gray?

Yep. Discounting the first 3 rounds Murphy's output has been very similar to Wine's output (who probably has the edge over Gray). The extra match is critical plus it nets 70k which allows a Fisher to Scooter upgrade. Certainly not from the FF textbook but I intend to use all 9 trades this bye period to gain some sort of advantage. Port also have a soft draw coming up so I'm banking on a 60/40 split in points.

Strongly disagree with that

Both Murph and Wines boomed out of the gates and their first 3 rounds were huge

Since then

Murphy: 123, 69, 88, 118, 108, 123, 83
Wines: 92, 122, 56. 70, 86, 100

Don't like the Murph to Wines/Gray trade at all sorry. The gain (if any) is so minor. Keep Murph mate

Wines scored 110 on the weekend by the way. In any case I think Murphy will be averaging 105 from this point on, possibly 110 but he appears to be throwing up plenty of sub 100 scores without pulling in the big ones. As for the gain, been over this in my team diary but the extra game can offer quite a substantial benefit. I may even bring in Sloane, it's something I'm mulling over if I can ensure I have enough starters round 13. Don't underestimate the value of an extra midfielder this round, with so many dud rookies being fielded there is definite advantage.

Murphy was tagged by Dumont yesterday and didn't handle it too well. Teams will look at that and look to shut him down. I will be doing a Murphy to Wines trade as well for the same reasons.

Yeah, think I have to get Scooter now.  Will keep M8 warm.  Makes cash.  Might even be a sideways to a real M8.

At this stage it's: Fyfe/SPP/Mutimer(I'm an idiot) for Sloane/Scooter/Bolton.

What would Scooter need to score to make $100k before his bye? I have 8 premium mids as of last round so would want to sideways him to a premium on another line before round 14 if I get him. Already have greenwood, going early on Shaz this week, not confident in any other rookies (eg Bolton). A quickfire $100k would be massive, plus his scores over the byes.

Decided to keep Barrett with a B/e of 11 and thinking of these trades and more than likely will have to hit reverse trades on Thursday. ;D ;D

Williamson to Scharenberg early
Berry to Tuohy
Balic to Scooter

Leaving me with bye structure with pending team announcements Strnadica and Cedric Cox as my only current non players. 20/19/19

mcpies

Pickett , Baltic , nroo out . . . Bolton , greenwood , s Selwood in . . .
Then next week . . . Newman , Stewart , spp out . .,Sharenberg , Docherty and rocky in . .
Means s Selwood will be last upgrade with 8 trades left . .

Right, wrong bye week in mind there.

Nooooooooooooo idea at this stage.

Barrett > Scott Selwood looking likely though

Gigantor

Stay with me on this  :)

Rd 11
Newman->Scharenberg
Bowes-> SSelwood
SPP->Gray

Rd 12
probably no trades, maybe Myers->Cousins to free up some cash

Rd 13
Otten->Lloyd
maybe Shaw->Roberton

11+12 Byes are looking very solid, rd 13 not so much, comes down to guys like Parson and Fisher keeping their spots. Will take a donut rather than wasting a trade to save 50-60 pts

Rd 14
Stewart->Rookie D/F (Burton becomes floating cover for all lines)
Barrett->Sloane/Rocky/Tmitch

Leaves 8-10 trades with SSelwood at M8 and Burton as cover
Surely nothing can go wrong with this much forward planning  :P

So this week I have decided to trade out deadwood from my team, 3 out of the 6 i have listed have to go….had enough!

In what order do the following players have to be traded out?

Marchbank
Hampton
Barrett
Fisher
Balic
Eddy

I am going this same approach. Get rid off dead wood. And wondering if Baic or Eddy have any chance of playing in next couple of weeks if anyone has an idea?
So Far I've cut:

Fisher: Pretty much maxed out and terrible scorer  but at least plays.
Balic: No idea whats going on with him. Money to make but can't have him sit out thru the byes.
Eddy: Just not getting named despite cash still to be made.

I'm taking this week to get rid of the rotting Balic and Eddy as they have logical replacements in Greenwood and Bolton. No point holding either any longer. Neither will be playing any time soon.

Barrett/Taranto > SSelwood, was hesitant at first but contemplating now after reading so many posts (buying into the hype never works out but oh well). Would rather keep both both Barrett and Taranto as both have cash to make yet, but my other rookies (Parsons, Myers etc.) aren't worth touching at this point.

Thinking Otten > Harbrow
